Wow! It Really Works! Easy Way To Peel a Hard Boiled Egg

Maybe I'll try that HD because after doing the shake the egg thing, the shell came off in even smaller pieces! I guess I shook a little too hard. :DI've always had trouble peeling egg shells off @Pepper.
Diva, make sure you've cooled the egg first or you'll burn your hands.... but yes a little roll back and forth a couple of times and that eggshell will come right off.. (y)

I boil the eggs and pour off hot water then run the whole pot under cold water for a few mins and crack both ends of eggs and let them sit in as cold of water as possible for about 5 mins. The shells usually slip right off, not always but usually. I think the trick is to get that cold water under that membrane and it peels right off.

Thank you HD. I always cool my eggs before I peel them. Sometimes I don't use them for hours or a couple of days later, so they go right in the fridge.

Can you buy ready boiled eggs in your country ? I can get them in Spain but not here in England

....salt also works.
I use salt to make them bouyant and less likely to crack. Don't think it helped in the peeling but shaking did. And yes, older eggs are easier. I will try what Debodum said about removing newer ones from the fridge earlier.
