What would it take to change your beliefs?

If a wise man/woman could answer all your questions would you embrace his or her beliefs?

Well, there are many wise men/women who most certainly could answer all my questions ... but are the answers correct?
I'm lucky in that I have "irrefutable proof" ... at least personally to me ... so my beliefs aren't likely to change regardless.
Doesn't mean I don't tolerate or even at times enjoy hearing what others have to say. (even if sometimes I silently point and laugh)

Well, I have changed my beliefs as time has progressed and I have learned a great deal about the brain and mind. I have also learned that an unexamined belief is not worth having, so that's what instigated it. A person has to be willing to unbiasedly consider the belief may be in error, and most likely it is.

As for what it would take, at this point, is to have a perspective revealed to me that makes more sense than the one I currently have, and I hope I always remain open to that. I think most people use the words "believe" and "know" interchangeably because it makes them feel more secure in their belief, but it is simply an energy saving tactic used by the brain and how the mind works.

No, I wouldn't. There have been too many times throughout the ages that something was supposedly "proven" only to be disproven at some later point. I would trust my own gut and my own research instead of blindly following what someone else claims to have "proven" to be true.

There are no absolutes... that's what I would adhere to when defining beliefs. Hmmm.... maybe "there are no absolutes" is actually the only absolute? Oh wow, I'm doing much too much heavy thinking for 5:30 a.m. Mornin' all! 🌻

OP…There is no man or woman wise enough to answer all questions.
Beliefs are accepting without proof something exists or is true. Beliefs can be deeply rooted but they can be changed if they are holding you back from getting on with leading a happy and fulfilled life.

That sounds more like faith than belief.

I am sure I am not unique here. But, maybe I just think the question means something else. Actually, I have met many people who do have all the answers. And, they think they have all the answers too. But, I haven't joined any of them. I just don't think their answers are correct.
