Hope Hurricane Idalia wasn't too brutal on SF and Fla residents

That was hard to watch yesterday and the little today. I think when you have lived in an area that has had a bad disaster affecting many, the empathy ramps up.

It is. I've been through and the worst thing especially when your area didn't have a direct hit in decades. Had a boss/company that wouldn't close until storm a mile off the coast. I'm driving home swerving, zig and zagging around downed palm trees on a highway.

The biggest complaint I've heard from newbies is the panic prior ie lines at the stores, nothing left etc. That and waiting it out. Some don't handle no power-it's not that they have to use candles open windows but when their routine is messed up they might as well be a junky quitting crack cold turkey.
