Anchovies Is the #1 Disliked Food in America

I like anchovies.

It's liver I'm not fond of , but I like liver pate'.

I made this once-

Pissaladière (Caramelized onions and anchovies
for a friend who likes anchovies as I do. It was fabulous. She moved away and now no one I know will eat it with me, so I never bothered again.

We got shoe leather in the guise of liver at our school canteen, it's enough to put you off for life. Later in the early years of my marriage, I took to cooking, my wife, being in the ambulance service, worked shifts around the clock, so my doing the cooking made sense.

It was when I started experimenting with Italian meals that I found a recipe for chicken livers with pasta, I added a few rashers of bacon chopped into little squares and found the flavour of the meal quite agreeable. Since then I cook lamb's liver in the Italian style, but I couldn't be brave enough to try pig's or calf's liver.

I love Calves' liver. I had the same experience with liver growing up... ..later in life I had lambs liver, then discovered Calves liver.. I really like liver & bacon.. and often add it to Mac & cheese..

I like anchovies. They're a great substitute for table salt in certain sauces and on certain salads, and I like them on certain pizzas.

I'm waiting for someone to invent a sweet 'n' salty snack: carmel covered anchovies.

Think that would work? The anchovies would have to be dehydrated or something, to remove some of the oiliness. Then you'd have a sweet, salty, crunchy snack.

I like anchovies in certain dishes and sardines as well. Liver with onions and bacon, prepared by me, is delicious. The farm where I buy my chicken and turkey makes a fabulous turkey liver pate. Brussels sprouts are on my love list, and I adore oysters, caviar and escargot! Y'all can send them my way!

What I loathe is cilantro. It's slightly more tolerable when cooked, but raw... ick. vomit As far as I'm concerned, it ruins what would otherwise be a perfectly good dish.

Why just America?

Brussel Spouts are evil wherever they occur! 🤮
Nope///I love them... my daughter hates them, I used to tell her when she was a toddler, that the baby Brussels were crying for her to eat them.. and so she felt sorry for them and always ate them... she's never forgiven me.. and she's 47 years old now.. :ROFLMAO:
