Algology does not seem to draw a lot of interest here on SF. Maybe because as a study it does not draw a large following either. Heck. I hadn't even heard the word before nor knew of what it refers even existed. But, thank you. My world got a little larger because of your thread. Thank you, very much.

I agree, Robb. I learned of the word Algologist from the cartoon. I looked it up and found it had two meanings. It defines Algology in Marine Botany as the study of sea weed AND in the Medical field as the study of pain. It is the case of "the definition, not taken". I think that the cartoon brings that confusion across.;):unsure:
