Illinois Has An Assault Weapons Ban, Makes Me Think About Moving to Illinois!

Apparently you could find a feral child in the Appalachian woods, educate the child on absolutely nothing but Jerry Springer reruns and corn dog nutrition facts, and the child would still have a better understanding of the United States Constitution than some politicians ... specifically the BILL of RIGHTS, of which the second amendment is a part. It's up to the United States Supreme Court to decide constitutionality of second amendment restrictions. Which they have done in the past.

How would that affect gun CONTROL? I've not heard any politician, from either party, talk about a ban of guns. It's only the NRA that likes to sell that lie. But gun control is another matter, no?

Are restrictions not CONTROL?
I defer to the United States Supreme Court for constitutionality of restrictions/control in that matter.

Where I live guns are pretty hard to get legally. No problem for the crazies as knives are sold all over this country and are easy to hide in their jackets. Talk about "Body Contact"

No, restrictions aren't control in this sense. If you can still own a gun, how are you being controlled to not own guns?

I'm also well aware of the Supreme Court rulings. I'm also well aware of the power of the NRA lobby. Hence, I know there will never be effective gun control in the US.
 
This Saturday is our church sponsored shooting match. My son is going with me if he feels like it this time, he has medical problems, with the cool spell here having there will probably be a good crowd there, maybe 30 families or so. with round count near 80 each that's a lot of ammo fired, This will be a 2 gun match with pistol and carbine both shot. I love the 2-3 gun matches best of all. My primary arms will be a Glock 17 and A PCC (pistol caliber carbine) SBR 10" also in 9mm.

I am looking for us as we will be starting early to be well finished Saturday before lunch at the truck stop which is a regular thing for us they have a special seating area for us on match days. Before we eat everything is cleaned up and all props stored in our target shed. Over 4500 rounds fired estimated. 50 - 55 shooters predicted. All youth must have a parent with them at all times. We have a perfect safety record. 2 safety officers per each shooter.
