What have you bought recently?

My car refused to start this morning, so I had to ring up the roadside assistance who arrived 2 hours later. I had a feeling it was the battery and of course it was. I had to fork out $275.00. He said there was a 3-year warranty on it so let's hope I have no more expenses.

Like @C50, I bought tires lat month.
Gah! 4 new ones for my RAV4 (about $800 out the door) and 4 for the 2500 pickup that hauls our camper $1400- ish. Michelin Defenders for the pickup, Goodyears for the RAV4.

Fortunately, modern vehicles don't break down frequently so mechanical issues don't nickel and dime us to death anymore. Remember the 60s, 70s and 80s? Cars bounced in and out of the shop every few months. Glad to see those problems in my rear view mirror.

I've literally just bought some more Rad snap radiator pipe covers... and also some Rad snap pipe collars in aluminium...

Also got some D-Mannose Capsules

Since we changed from 6-8 seater large dining room set, our 16" lazy Susan is now overhanging the table and discovered when pulled it out of storage that the bottom is, unfortunately, covered in mould. Bummer!

Amazingly, this morning while on our outing, found the perfect 10" Lazy Susan which now sits proudly on new smaller dining set, with exactly all that used to be in bugger one. Bargain at just 4.99.

Outside closed down charity shops, we found three storage boxes filled with DVDs. All boxes had stickers clearly indicating, "help yourself these are all FREE, enjoy!"

Boon, only 2 boxes weren't with correct films and a third one was empty. However the other five were good films in great working order. There was a collection box stating: "If you want to make donation, put it here, please?"

We did. Wow!

Spent money yesterday on DD's favorite cookies. P*ssed away $4.49 on those and then more $ on a new citronella candle for my Lilliputian-sized patio. Bank account safe...I used real $. Today is payday so I'm fat again until the bill comes for the new lamp.

I paid for a manicure and my nails painted today.... then I went to the supermarket and didn't spend any money...on a trolley of food... how you may be wondering..or not.....well I will tell you...

I got £100 gift card for Tesco from my Insurance company... so I used it today to buy £30 worth of Groceries.. so I still have £70 left on the card..

And you're going to spend it on diet food, right?;)

An apron on Amazon. My regular apron dips too low and the final straw was a piece of dark chocolate falling off an ice cream bar. I didn’t notice and it left a stain. Also I splatter everything when cooking. By everything, I even mean things that can’t possibly splatter.

Smart move on my part, I'll call it a mouse pouch for lack of a better. I have my new laptop stand that doesn't move across the carpet smoothly. Mouse keeps falling to floor, decided something had to be done, clever & usable. Saves on chasing the battery cover all over. $10 on Amazon. Sticks to laptop lid nicely.

I was in such a sweat to get out of the bakery this morning that I forgot to spend money on, yanno, whatever.

DD and DGD have gone to Barnes & Noble and Sally Beauty Supply and heaven only knows where else. I didn't want to go out in the rain so still didn't get to spend any money.

Maybe tomorrow.

I got some new USB portable hadheld and desktop fans ... ...also some marvellous new Nail holders to use when trying to hammer a nail into the wall, and prevent hammering fingers especially when the nail or screw is small..

Ran to walmart for a few things. Grandson coming for the night. Needed milk, got him some waffles for breakfast tomorrow and some ice cream for dessert tonight.

Had parked my cart out of the way to get the frozen stuff. I turn to go put it in the cart and a lady was walking off with my cart. So I walk up behind here and say "You gonna pay for that". She looks down and we both burst out laughing. She had actually put a couple of things in the basket and did not even notice it was not her cart.

I had a bag of dog food, she does not even have a dog. At least it makes me feel better. Others do silly things just like me.

I went to the mall the other evening. I had not been in months. I was looking for summer clothing on clearance. Got a pair of jeans, two pairs of capris and two pairs of earrings for $40 bucks. Pretty good deals but usually there is more to choose from.

The place was practically empty, they only had a couple of people working on each floor. Had to track down an employee to check out.

Ordered a 'USAF Retired' window decal for the back window of our car.

This might have other drivers behind me to cut me some slack if:

A- I drive the speed limit.
or
B- signal when making a right turn.

Now, if I could just get the person behind me to not try to put their car in my backseat...

Well…..I’m ready to spill the beans……the following posts are of the shopping frenzy, since I moved here on June 19, 2023.

Pic 1….metal basket for Mickis’ toys.
Pic 2….Micki getting toys out of her basket.
Pic 3….Micki guarding her toys.
Micki hasn’t spent any time in the spare bedroom, until I put the basket of toys in there…..so…..I guess…..it’s her room now. 😉🐾.
