Do you wear jeans ?

I'm another jean jeanie. Don't wear them in the house, preferred leggings or ski pants for that, but I feel the cold now so wear track suit bottoms, snug as a bug in a rug 😊

Jeans/dungarees: Black, dark navy, washed out ... varying styles - either for casual or dressed up with a nice jacket. Never ripped jeans though, stupid bloody things 🤨
Corduroy type (way back when): cream, very light grey, brown, pink. Hated the smell of corduroy though.
I hate corduroy with a passion, it picks up all the dust and detritus from everywhere... and once you've sat in them a few times the corduroy flattens

Oh nice patchwork quilt!

Had one in leftover material pieces bought from a fabric store which was having a closedown sale. Sadly, it disappeared during a storage/house move.

I'd love to have been able to find the quilt referred to as "Wedding Bands"?
Do you mean double wedding ring? I only can find a partial pic....100_0523.JPG

Me from Autumn on.. usually always in Jeans and boots

And how nice you look ❣️

yes we all wore it in the 70's...needle cord was very fashionable, but that's where I learned it's also not practical...
I have a corduroy jacket sitting in my closet waiting to come back in style. It's good quality and fits like a glove.
I asked my daughter one day if I should wear it and she said, " No, definitely not, no!"
Daughters are great for honest opinions . ☺️

Used to wear jeans a lot, not so much now because I prefer softer materials... but I do have a couple of pairs left in my closet. Sometimes I use them for riding, but usually I wear proper riding trousers.
As for the torn and ripped version...well.. the young and very slim can get away with wearing anything.

I was never a fan of corduroy either. It did have a weird smell to it which I could never figure out. Was it the fabric processing or the colour they added. Then if they got wet while wearing then, it was even worse. I did have a cool pair of corduroy overalls / coveralls.

Riding? Horseback riding? Motorcycle riding?
Bicycle riding?

They were bought for me during winter time. Just as you, I never liked the smell and wouldn't wear them until they'd been washed first. During my figure skating days, my thighs went big due to muscle building up. Cords would get thin where material would rub together, not good.

Once married, I gave them away and never looked back. I've now cotton thermal leggings for colder months 😂😂😂

They did tend to wear out in places and stretch in places like the knees. Not very attractive. Lol.

I now wear leggings when I go out but lately I’m not going out much so I’m wearing pyjamas. They might look frumpy but they’re so comfy . 🤭 And that’s inside. I’m not one to go out wearing pyjamas.

Yes, that's it, double wedding ring quilt! I was hoping to try and make one with hubby a while back. Now he's passed away, may try to do one for daughter in the future if she gets with someone serious...

OMG! Seriously? You’ll actually consider doing all that work? I made it through 60 seconds and it gave me an instant headache.
That’s very intricate complicated stuff. I don’t know how you ladies do it. I never even learned how to knit. 😬

Pyjamas, yes... How many times I see people wearing bathrobes over PJs. Kind of saying "WHAT???" and I'm told that cause I'm still in bed round 11am, I'm lazy.

Aye right, no more. If you're I'll, yes, stay in your PJs. If you're staying home and not in the mood to get dressed up, yes, go for it! I usually throw on a leisure kind of PJ lol!

I know how you feel. I've spent the week sleeping since I've been out of A&Evlast Sunday. Only going out Monday and Friday. In between, in PJ, bathrobe over and a snuggly cover sleeping... 🙃

I belonged to an Arts and Crafts group growing up. I've made 3 items with my sewing machine: a tennis outfit, a ballet-jazz theatre special outfit and my very own godmother dress to attend my nephew's christening in the 70s.

I can't knit to make anything, I end up with folded needles, no joke! However, give ne wool, cotton or other materials, I'll crochet you whatever (did all my babies layette) and I've macrame so many flower pot holders and dog leashes, I lost count after first baker's dozen. It was all in the family, you just had to do it.

Later on with husband, we'd spent cozy winter weekends by the fireplace, watching films on new VHS Tapes and turn out hook rugs for friends and family. Sorry, was kind of compulsory 😉🐱

I've nothing left of what we did, except baby layette which is packed away protectively for daughter when it's her turn.

I made 2 of those also, one light and one dark.
And you’ve raised horses, chickens and made gear shifters(?) on a metal lathe. That’s versatile.

A tennis outfit and jazz dance outfit is impressive. The Godmother dress is sweet.

I love those macrame pot holders. Once when I used the wear my hair in many braids I had a guy friend once put a small plate at the bottom of my braids and said I could be a pot holder. 😂 I laughed so much. My hair was extra long back then; past my butt.

I’ve done a lot of sewing dog coats. Some really fancy ones and dog sun dresses and harnesses. I’ve done quite a few elaborate needlepoint work which has literally taken me years to finish.

I have a lot of hobbies. Woodworking, woodcarving, jewelry making, painting, playing the horns, keyboards, … but I haven’t sewn in a while. .

I feel embarrassed when I meet people in Walmart wearing pyjamas. It just doesn’t seem right. Lol. I try not to be judgmental though. I guess my age is showing.
