I made a little video about what happened to my husband and I. I hope a link is allowed. I am new to the forum and I am so excited to have other seniors to talk to, as we are so very lonely and sad of late. . .here is our video:
thanks in advance for your support!

Welcome to the forum, @humanin3d ! Your video was very sad and I am sorry you are going through this! I am sure you will find a solution somehow. Take deep breaths to calm down, and remember the little good things you have in life. I am sure you have many of them! Wishing you the best of luck moving forward!

That is heart breaking, how I wish I could adopt her kitty. I love cats! DH also suffers with neuropathy, fortunately he has not lost any parts yet. Part of the reason is that he wears shoes in the house and socks at night so his feet are protected all the time! He is also very careful to pay attention to his feet even though they feel dead to him.

I am so sorry you are suffering. Your sweet kitty just acted as many a pet might. He was not being mean, did not mean to hurt. I can see he means a great deal to you. Would you have a room or a closet you could make a space for him with a screen door. He would be still be part of your family but have a space you could put him where he could be secure.

I take this happened at night, he could be put in his own space at night or when you leave the house to prevent further accidents.

As far as the other, there will always be those who take advantage of any one they can. Always best to get everything in writing and signed, dated, detailed cost. Text and email are not always the best way. Also, I never pay for anything before the work is done and completed to my satisfaction.

I wish you and your husband well!
