What are you doing today 2023

I'm being a good boy today, I've limited myself to just one half gallon mug of tea with my breakfast, well, what goes in has to come out the other end and I spend far to much time peeing for Britain.......
Tell me about it! I'm not a tea drinker but I am partial to Peaberry coffee, black no sugar. Yesterday I had to make three calls in The New Forest. Milford-on-Sea to collect Friday's dance tickets, Beaulieu, to register the MG for the Big Bash on the 30th of this month, It's MG Motors 100th Anniversary, then I had to collect some fabric from a shop in Ringwood for a waistcoat (vest) that my lady is making me. It's one of those formal types that are worn with a dinner suit. She has already made me a couple, this is one of them:

The new one will be razzle, dazzle lurex, which I shall wear to The Lord Mayor's Ball early in December. Well, that coffee did not take prisoners, twice I had to stop and secrete myself in the bushes. It makes me smile to think I might get prosecuted for exposing myself. Why smile? When George Burns was asked what he would like for his 87th birthday he replied: "A paternity suit!" For me to expose myself would take a large magnifying glass.

Tai Chi class was this morning. Working on the Cheng Man Ching 37 step form and some Shibashi Qigong - for anyone that has any idea what I'm prattling on about hehe!

This afternoon I'm running a beginners photography session down the local stone jetty. High tide, strong winds and 90% chance of heavy rain. What could possibly go wrong? :ROFLMAO:

, workout, quick stop at the small grocery store, pizza, and home. Eat, watch The Last Kingdom, and then putter around. Before you know it, the day is gone.

Good day to all!

With my mom passing in March this year it has been a struggle finding something purposeful to do with my time. THis year the weather here in Los Angeles, California has been anything but consistent or typical varying from rain to warm sunny days rather than the constant sun southern California is known for.

Today, it may surprise like yesterday and be sunny after noon time. Then I intend to head to the beach for some serious walking for a few hours amongst the tourist crowds who visit there nearly all year long. It is a real adventure listening to all the foreign languages amongst the crowd. The chatter is soothing if not funny at times. I have no idea what they are talking about.

But, at least I am not counting the number of times I've peed today. Nor have I simply sat in my nest listening to the clock tick away the seconds of my life. Is this what seniors do for the rest of their lives?

My mom used to scold me for wasting my time. Someone needs to give these old folks here a serious scolding for wasting their's. Life is too short at this end of it. Sun or not, I am heading to the beach once again, today. Maybe I'll learn a new language.

Day two of pipe replacement. I did run to Aldi for water, but had to leave doggie tied in the living room. I can't let her out unleashed and with the plumber running in and out, I'm stuck.

After that it will be day three... sheet rock replacement and taping. A different guy. That will be 2-3 days.

Finally, painting. I'll ask my son to do it, or maybe my GS.

I hope things go quickly…..don’t know how you’re doing it……I would be in a major attitude.
Your little one must be very upset.

Ran out to get beef for the freezer while they were having a good sale. I went last night but they were sold out. I got there just in time this morning, they were very low again.

Got ground beef, chuck roast and some ribeye steaks. Part of it will go to the son. When he was over this weekend he was talking about "adulting is just not that much fun".

I told him this is not the first time in history there has been inflation. His Dad and I also dealt with it. This is the time to wise up, look at where and how you spend your money. Time to let the extras go.

Got new window tint on the front doors of Ruby the Jeep this morning ... FREE !!!
Bought brand new in 2003, had the Jeep so long she's family ... so Ruby.
Came with tinted windows except for the front doors.
Had LLumar window tint installed on front doors in 2004 and came with a Lifetime Warranty.
Saved the warranty card and receipt for all these years.
After 19yrs, the front passenger window tint had started to bubble and wrinkle.
Called LLumar and they agreed to honor the Lifetime Warranty.
The warranty is good for any LLumar installer in the U.S. and Canada. And done.

Don't know what I was thinking, forgot to smile D'oh

Past 6pm now...still very dreary outside.. wind not as strong as it was.. but it will be dark in about an hour...

Spent much of today transferring files between External Hard-drives, tedious but necessary...

Took delivery of a new leather case to store my watches... I'm fed up having them just in a drawers, where they can get damaged among the other jewellery

Lawn has been mowed.

Hungry. Late lunch is calling my name. How about a baked potato🥔with lots of butter and sour cream and cheese?

The eagle sh!ts tomorrow. My bank account will be happy for as long as it takes for the bill payments to clear. Who's the genius who said Social Security is an "entitlement" program? In a pig's eye! I earned every last cent and more:mad:
