What are you doing today 2023

Light rain here this morning, so we stayed in bed for an extra 2 hours!!!! (now I'm groggy! LOL)

I am going to Wal-Mart tomorrow, so today I will be taking inventory of the chest freezer. This means emptying it so I can see what's on the bottom. 🙄 Hopefully there isn't too much in there since I'm thinking that it will soon be time to defrost it.

Later, I'm going to cook dinner. Actually "cook" something. I hardly ever do that during the summer, but the seasons are changing! 🍂🍁

The little grocery store where we get our coffee, had a sale on County Ribs so I got inspired. Please note that I have never made this before and don't have a clue what I'm doing. I have put my trust in Mr Google! If you don't hear from me later.....well, you can assume that Mr Google poisoned me!

@hawkdon Wow. If my BP was that low, I'd be unconscious!

@Trila When I used to cook, way back in the way back, I'd boil the ribs in enough water to cover for just a few minutes and pour off the fatty water, then put them in the oven, fatty side up, cover tightly with foil, bake low and slow @ about 300 for maybe two hours. Take the foil off (they're gonnna look kinda nasty but not to worry) pour BBQ sauce over them (be generous) and bake uncovered for another hour @ about 275.

If they're very lean, and you don't like the idea of boiling them first, then just pour off the fatty liquid after the first two hours in the oven, but still finish up the last hour uncovered.

Skip knife and fork. Serve with plenty of napkins :ROFLMAO:

The only thing I did in the garden was take down my solar butterfly chimes and replace the batteries. Now my fingers are sore. Maybe I'll do some real work in the morning.

What's with all of the reno????
(I'm always behind on what's going on. 😥)
@Trila The insurance co. for my condo community demands we re-pipe with better quality than they used back in the 80's. Too many burst pipes and water damage claims.

Mgmt shopped around but no dice. They even met with a few attorneys, but too long a story. So, they gave us 2 years to complete and time is almost up.

Today, I'm working on putting my home back together; removing plastic, dusting, putting things beck, etc.

The plumbers also replaced all shut-off valves; 3 sinks, 2 toilets, washing machine, DW, shower and replaced WM hoses. However, they forgot to turn the water back on to one of the toilets.

I tried to flush that toilet this morning but it didn't work! Not knowing any better, I called my son at work who came over on his lunch and turned the water back on.
😖

Just back after a five day RV trip to San Diego. Such a lovely area. My BFF lives there and can no longer drive due to macular degeneration, so we drive down to visit periodically. A three to three and a half hour trip if we time traffic well.

Internet was a little wonky at the campground so I'm way behind on this thread.

Like @Georgiagranny, my SS check is supposed to hit my checking account today or tomorrow. Always nice to see that bump in my balance!

Going for a flu shot now and will throw in a load of laundry when I get back. Nothing doing other than that. Hoping the flu shot side effects will be limited to today and tomorrow.

I’m just scrolling thru FB and I see this pic….

I know if am going to do *any* remodeling, it should be more contemporary (what the next home-owner would want) but this is right up my alley (traditional all the way) and boy I can totally see my living room looking like this!! Oh well. Sigh

Beautiful! I love it. I miss seeing books in built-in bookshelves <sigh>. I would only change one thing. I would put a seventy inch flat screen TV between the two candles! :)

To begin with, health crash getting better. Still sleeping loads. Got 8 hours last night and got two more naps today. Regardless, still tired yawn...

Then it was waiting game for delivery. Thanks to road traffic, timeframe changed 3 times. Package finally delivered round half past four.

Once received, checked it out, good form, been working on updating and transferring quite a lot for today. Now, the hardest part is going to be transferring the stuff from old tablets into new.

Re-entry of bookmarks and pictures. I'm in it for long haul 😁😁😁. Very good tablet for the price. 8GB RAM and 128GB storage plus extension with SD Card. Under £90 free delivery. Amazing.

Well, I'm off completing updates on YouTube. Later y'all 😃

I want that room duplicated in my house! The house I don't have...but would have if I could.

Hey. Where's @hollydolly today?

Well, I was lazy as usual and spent most of the day behind the computer, reading books for the second time around, and replying to SeniorForums.

I did one demanding thing though, and boy am I proud of that: I climbed on my stationary bike and pedaled for three minutes for the first time in a year! :)
I'm still in the 'thinking' stages of getting on my stationary bike. lol
It's on the side of my house, and I'd like to have my gardener move it to a better location in my yard so I can have more of a view while I peddle away....
