One thing you always wanted to do and didn't!

I always wanted to take flying lessons and get a pilot's license. Small planes, not big air liners.
These days, flight simulators are very realistic. Some even have haptic seats and 3D video.
You can fly a big 777 to small Cessna or even Snoopy's Sopwith Camel. Some have full cabins with 360 degree views. All for a price, but a little Cessna flight sim can take you anywhere around the world at a reasonable price. Lots of tutorials and auto features like auto take-off and auto-land. So you're never too old

I've always wanted to throw pots. No, not at my husband! :ROFLMAO: I mean, work with clay, mold a mound of shapeless clay into a pot, or bowl, or something else useful and useable.

I want to take up Archery.

I really want to train my dog to be a Canine Good Citizen, and then as a Therapy Dog. (I'm actually on this path, and I'll post about it separately)

I want Ron and me....no that's not good grammar...Ron and I...ugh dammit no, it's grammatically correct to say Ron and me! (sorry for the segue....grammarNazi here!) to pitch a tent by a body of water without anything else. I think it's called boondocking. No electricity, no water, nuthin but us and the tent and the elements. My only camping experience to date has been of the "glamping" variety

I want us to spend the night in a treehouse.

I want to visit every relative I know about, in every part of the world where they are.

I want to swim with the dolphins

I want to become proficient at skateboarding and rollerblading

I want to learn how to ski

...........damn, I could keep going! Guess I need to create my own personal bucket list, and GET TO WORK!!!

Um yeah; I was serious. I've been a real "plain Jane" for most of my life but did want to get dressed up and go to the prom really bad. I used to daydream about what kind of dress I'd get. Oh, well, it taught me that daydreams (any dreams, really) are best avoided since all they usually do is break your heart.
Ripley, I went to 2 proms and was bored stiff at each one. I don't think you missed a whole lot, really!

I’ve always wanted to go to Ireland.
I love the way they talk.
I would love to hear the Irish music and eat “real” fish n chips.
But most of all I would love to see the beautiful green countrysides.
well if you ever go.. just pop across the water and visit me.. and in the meantime here's a video showing Ireland in all it's glory.. remember too that England, Scotland and Wales are just as green , and we serve the best fish and chips (y)

The thread title makes it sound like we're all out of time! lol

One thing I have wanted to do for a long time but haven't (yet) is to see an active volcano. I'd love to observe an eruption, at a safe distance.;)
Do it if you can... you will be mesmerised if you visit Stromboli or Mount Vesuvius.... or magical Chimborazo and Cotopaxi in Ecuador, and Popocatépetl in Mexico.

I have managed (with the help of a wonderful husband) to realise so many of the things on my bucket list.
One is still left to be achieved and that is a Virgin galactic space flight to the edge of space.

Maybe so but it would've been nice to find out myself instead of always wishing I could've gone and known. Plus it would have felt good to be chosen by some guy to be his date. It has given me some sarcasm material, though: once my stepdad asked me what I was wasting my time at community college for, "You think you're going to find a husband there?" I replied, "Heck no; I couldn't even get a date for prom so of course I'm not hoping for a husband!"

I've always wanted to see the Dalai Lama's palace in Tibet.

When I was in the 4th grade, I saw a picture of it in my geography book and got fascinated. I read about it and vowed I'd go see it one day.

We had to write an essay about somewhere we wanted to go when we grew up and I wrote about that. My teacher, who was a sadistic old b**ch who dedicated her life to sucking the joy out of every student she came in contact with (when her name is mentioned on my Facebook group of people who went to my school, a collective shudder is felt across the U.S.) said, "Don't be ridiculous. You'll never go somewhere like that!" and made me pick another place.

I always planned to go there and stand on the steps and yell, "Mrs. H________, you old hag, I'M HERE! How do you like that???" I know that isn't a peaceful and Buddhist thing to contemplate doing but I would do it with great pleasure.

I'm pretty sure I'll never get there now, but I COULD have and nobody had the right to tell me I couldn't......

Do you paint at all anymore Frank. I gave it up years ago because the smell of turps was too bothersome but now engage in pastel drawing which is both pretty and easier on my sinuses and general health.
I do charcoal, pencil, and pen and ink drawings, but I haven't been painting. And I doubt I'll get back into it; it's an expensive endeavor and takes up a lot of space.

I used to do scrimshaw, and that's something I'm thinking of taking up again. It's really enjoyable and not expensive at all. And it's marketable, so that's a plus.

Oh, by the way, you don't have to use solvents with oils. I avoided them most of the time.

Here's an article about it:

Oil Painting without Solvents

Surf in warm ocean waters. Sea temperatures off most of the California coast require wetsuits and even then the cold on head and hands was too much for this thin person to get serious about long term despite loving the liquid visceral feelings and beach lifestyle.
