Do you shop at Walmart?

I don't like shopping in a Walmart store. I don't know what it is, but Walmart customers act a lot cruder than say J. C. Penny customers act. Walmart uses a lot of deception with their price signs. Sweaters with a price sign of $8.97 may be $13.48 at the register. And if you go into another Walmart, you will see exactly the same deception. Also, at the exit door, I don't like anybody pawing over the stuff I just bought. I bought it, I own it. They have no right to put their paws on it.
One of the few times I shopped there, this Jewish guy was bugging everybody in the parking lot. Apparently, if he said this prayer to people, he would get credit in heaven, or something. So, he's running around yelling in Hebrew at people. There were a lot of people complaining, but the manager wouldn't discuss it with the customers.
I'll buy online, but I won't set foot in the store.
You need to look at the price tag attached to the item. Your example of a sweater...It will have a price tag on the sleeve or the collar. Read it before you check out, and compare the tag price to the cash register price. JimB.

They seem to renovated several around here including those over 10 miles away botique style. Alot of clothing displays makes one feel like their in a mall or big box store like Macys. Maybe it's their way of signaling more price increases.
My local Walmart is doing the renovation thing. There's a whole new floor plan, and sections have been moved, so I have to relearn where things are. About half the checkouts are self checkouts. I don't know what they are doing, nothing is really improved, and they are having a "grand opening" the first of October. A lot has changed already, but no improvements. It's mostly cosmetic, and the checkouts are not an improvement. It may look a little cleaner or something. I was looking at it the other day trying to see an improvement.

I order online and pick up at the store between couple of hours and 4 days later. I can hit there while I'm running errands. Easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy.

I used to boycott WM because of its business practices, but Amazon is probably worse and I patronize it. I don't go into those stores anymore- the chaotic layouts, bright lighting, music and other noise, and checkout process trigger my ADHD and it becomes hard for me to stay on task. My brain becomes a whirling dervish.

Rarely. Our only Walmart is not located close to my home. I must pass at least 4 other supermarket chains on my way to it.
The store is rather old and not welcoming.
I shop at Publix, less than two miles away from home or order online.

Ours too, what a mess! Moved stuff so now you have to learn whole store and added on to grocery side for larger pickup area I hear. Wish they would put all that money into better merchandise. I see nothing that is "better" maybe updated paint and cleaner for now. I am not impressed as of yet.

Or fix that one wheel that doesn't turn? And then there's that one wheel that wobbles at high speed like it's lost it's mind.
Just think how much smoother those shopping carts might roll, if they had their minimum wage folks that probably tend and repair carts, actually use some of their now overly abundant from the pandemic cleaning alcohol bottles on shelves, to remove all the gum from wheels, picked up from gum chewing bozos that toss their expired wads anywhere while walking through parking lots.

I do all my grocery shopping there - online and have them delivered - mainly to avoid coming in contact with potential COVID carriers - I don't need COVID on top of lung cancer. The prices are good and they mostly have everything in stock. I will occasionally check the price of something o Amazon with the price at Walmart to see which is better - Most of the time it's Amazon.

Yes, I do, mostly for canned goods, things to fill the pantry, flour, sugar, oils, I get much better pricing. I also shop Kroger, Albertsons. Albertsons is my normal go to for meat. They offer the best product and the best prices on meat for filling my freezer.

In my opinion, we should shop where we can to get the best product at the best price. If we practice this we will always have a full pantry and freezer with good products. There is no reason to go without if we are smart with our shopping.
I can go to my pantry and freezer and cook almost any meal that I want. Yes, I may be considered a little crazy with my so called in house grocery but my son and grandson are more than happy to come over and shop my store.
