I'll have a go at answering this question.
In this changing world, a lot is going on. You'd imagine we'd be making progress, taking our society to newer and better places, but alas what seems to be going on is regression. GB News tries to sell itself as an equivalence to mainstream news, with the exception that they're right wing biased. They try to sell you a truth, and they model themselves on an extreme right mindset.
Now, all that is fine. They're entitled to a voice. But they're also a mirror of a segment of society today. Not only that, but these types of exchanges are a glimpse behind the curtain. It allows us to see who these people are when they're not doing a hard sell for their brand of (mis)information. Most people are wholly inept when it comes to researching anything, which is ironic when we live in times when it's never been easier. Monkey see, monkey do. So getting this is important in that it reveals the truth behind the theater.
I think we live in dangerous times. GB News is owned by a Hedge Fund out of Dubai, a foreign owned news station spewing propaganda into the UK. 3.4m people watch the station, which is very healthy numbers all things considered. These stations are doing nothing to bring people together, and doing everything they can to tear it apart, and it's in that context this is of interest - if only fleetingly.
