What has you excited these days?

Provincial election tomorrow. The results should be interesting. There was a lot of "mud slinging" during the campaign with both leading parties promising the voters the "moon and perhaps all the stars."

There isn't enough money in the province to deliver 1/2 of their promises but hey, "Talk is Cheap."

I could get behind that sqaure dancing, great fun. Around here they do line dancing!!
I tried it once for a season because someone asked me to go, even though I thought it would be kinda silly. Well, it turned out to be lots of fun, and I'm glad I ventured out of my comfort zone on that one.

I am excited about my one week vacation. That's all they will give us in housekeeping. One stinking week a year. And they try to take that too.

Also started a text based role playing game online that's been fun.
Vacation sounds fun, where are you off to?
Also curious about how the role playing game works?

One week ?... one week in the year ?
yes. one week. if you ask for more they get pissy and usually don't approve it. they expect us to just sell off what we don't use. we don't have enough staff to let us be off longer yet the asian workers are allowed a month or more to go back to thailand once a year. if they ask me to give up my vacay this month it's gonna be an outright hell no. LOL

LOL i never have money to go anywhere. it's just a stay at home and rest and relax thing. i do stuff for me while i'm gone.

it's just a text based game where you go and live a life of crime in this place called:
Torn City

everything is text based and like if someone attacks you the computer based game decides the outcome based on your battle stats. it's actually pretty interesting. it's a slow moving game so it takes time and patience and there's quite a bit to it. they have a forum and a reddit page and even youtube videos

Tahoe ski season may be just a month away. But at 20 gallons of gas each round trip given current California gas costs above $5.50/gal, that will stunt those long road trips.

Every day I wake up is a Saturday. Government monthly pays me more than enough to just get by to do nothing if I so choose. But with the whole vast SFBA just a modest drive or cheap senior Clipper Card public transportation debit away, I can fill my days with an long list of interesting and or fun activities. Weekend after weekend have been street dancing at outdoor music events with this last weekend's massive Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival most exciting. Next weekend in The City is the Naval Fleet Week airshow with large numbers of people all over the north shore tourist areas.

No new grand baby.

Bingo? Really? 🤣

No new wheels.

No need to lose weight.

A hot date? 🔥 I wish! 🙄🤞

...or????? I'll let you know if something pops up. 😏
Aw, c'mon. It's hard to imagine you don't have a hot date. If that's true, then I apologize on behalf of men everywhere.
Most likely, the knight on the white horse had to stop for hay or something. I'm sure he'll be there soon to lift you up on the back of his stallion, and whisk you off to his castle. After that, if anything "pops up", I highly doubt you will let us know.

Sounds like it's a pretty involved game, but I'm sure once you get into it, it really challenges your brain. I think my life would be a little busy to commit that kind of time. It's my own fault though because my mind is always coming up with things to do.

Anyway, I'm so sorry that you don't get to go anywhere because of funds, but at least having a chance to rest, slow down, and enjoy life a bit is therapeutic. Listen to some music, maybe a little gardening, and a few movies will make it all worthwhile. :)

Surely that's no allowed... do you have employment tribunals there ? ...if that was happening here it would be looked on as a racist problem. The company favouring the Asian employees..

Well, how about that... a bouquet just popped up. Well ..... not exactly a bouquet, it's more of a bush I grew from my mother's lilacs. It's not as good as your hot date scenario, but it cheers me up. Maybe it will put a smile on your face for today anyway.
