Do you know the difference between an Executor and an Executrix?

I find this really strange.
An Executor is a person or institution appointed by a testator to carry out the terms of their will.

Surely that encompasses females?

An Executrix is a female appointed to carry out the terms of a will.

It means the same thing... the term executrix is not used anymore.

I don't know about other countries but the UK has a small number of "Male midwives". The term midwife derives from a person who is "with the woman" and is not specifically male or female, so they should all be just "midwives".

I have heard the term "executrix" used , although not often.

They hold the same legal responsibility, mainly for a reference for Court information and filings. The same for Administrator and Administratix.
