Are you getting your vaccines this year?

I've never been vaccinated for anything except what was required for school (which are probably more needed now than in the 1950s) or work (hepatitis and typhoid) and tetanus when I punctured my hand on a rusty flagpole 2 years ago.
People our age, in addition to Covid are wise to consider an RSV vax, and of course FLU and RSV. Got Covid and Flu shots. Working on RSV.

Respiratory syncytial (sin-SISH-uhl) virus, or RSV, is a common respiratory virus that usually causes mild, cold-like symptoms. Most people recover in a week or two, but RSV can be serious. Infants and older adults are more likely to develop severe RSV and need hospitalization. Vaccines are available to protect older adults from severe RSV.”

Got the high dose flu shot earlier this week. No problems.

I’m not eligible for the Covid shot until the end of the year.

I see my doctor every six months and she keeps me up to date. I have gotten all the COVID and boosters, but probably won’t this year. I usually have my flu shot already, but have gone to five different places on three different days, and they were either out or their computer was down or Medicare’s computer was down. I‘ll get it when I see my doctor in December.

On. my way home today I picked up my prescription, and of course the Pharmacy had a big queue of people there to have their Covid Vaccines....I almost joined the queue to get it, as I was there IYSWIM... then I remembered, everyone I know whose had this latest one has been much more poorly than with the others.. so I didn't have it..
Interesting. So not just me hesitating then?
You really have heard that people are unwell after having it? What kind of symptoms did people get?
I'm just interested.

I just got my vax about an hr ago. We'll see how it goes. I got Moderna this year. The past 4 have been Pfizer so mixin it up a little. I usually just have body aches and chills for a couple days then I'm right as rain. Not expecting anything worse this year. If I get Covid right away after having it this year, I might not get another one. We will see.

They had a clinic here in my building. So I went for the works. Flu, covid, teatanus and pneumonia. I am vaccinated out
She offered me the pneumonia shot but I'm not due for another yet and I need to talk to the dr before I get another because of the site reaction I had last time.

I've just booked my Shingles vaccine.

The doctors' surgery ( office)..pestered me for a week by text telling me it was available for me and to book online.. when I did, the first appointment available is not until the end of November..
I think I did the Shingrex last year. Glad I don't have to do another one. Made me feel kinda creepy but at least I'm protected now.
