7 more days til vacation. gotta wait til friday and then try to schedule a covid vax on monday at the walgreens. hopefully i won't hafta pay for it. they're being turds at work about the vax so i decided to get it elsewhere rather than play games with them.

i am not gonna work around their dumb schedule when i have no control over when i go in right now since i'm being driven to work every day. they offered those free to us they should have them available regardless of the time of day. this may be last one. idk yet. i haven't had one since last year and haven't gotten it since that 2nd round in march.

if i get the vax next week and get covid again i might not be getting anymore vaccines. or at the very least i will skip the vax and see how things go without it the next year after. there is no permanent immunity either through the shots or through getting the covid.

anyway, i know my first two days of vacation will likely stink cuz i will have flu-like symptoms from the vax. but at least i'll be home and can relax. might order pizza when i'm up to it.

i don't really eat full meals too much anymore. i been getting frozen appetizers from the store. sometimes those and a few chips is enough. or ramen with eggrolls. sandwiches with chips. i finally had to stop eating bologna. i like it but it makes me nauseous every time i eat it now. don't know why.

It's 1 AM and I'm sitting here listening to the neighbors out back fighting. The girl is having some sort of mental meltdown. If they're still going at it by the time I go to bed I guess I will have to call the police. *Sighs & shakes head* I do not understand people.
 
Morning. They quit fighting about 30 min. later. It would've taken the police an hr. to get there so, problem solved. I just try to make sure no one is being murdered before I decide whether to call or not.

Anyway, contacting my internet provider for a cheaper package tomorrow. I just gotta ask some questions about the data usage before I make the change. My promo has ended and they want $103 a mo. and my needs have changed so looking to get something cheaper.

Hello friends!

Trying to find someplace to get my vax. We're supposed to get them for free at work but they make it difficult to get them. So I might not get one this year. I'm tired of having to jump through hoops for a dang shot.

Anyway, I lowered my internet speed today for a cheaper account since I no longer need the higher gaming speeds. I'm playing Stardew Valley and the equivalent of Minecraft so I don't need to worry about frames per second anymore. So I cut my bill in half. I don't use all the data they give us every month so I should be ok. I maybe used 10% of it this month.

Got my work eval to read today and it was good so I imagine she'll have me come in for my review tomorrow. They are giving us our annual merit raise plus an extra 4 or 5% on top of that for cost of living. They're raising our insurance premium at work again too. LOL! It's never ending. If I don't starve to death or end up homeless I'll be doing good. I'm working to manage my income a little better.

One of the few things I enjoy on Facebook is the page for the squirrel Thumbelina. I don't know if she was a rescue or what the deal is but they make videos of her and take such good care of her.

There have been no strays here except the one the neighbor used to feed. After seeing what happened to a friend's finger when she got bit by a stray I won't mess with them anymore. She had to get rabies shots and she's been off work for weeks now.

I think my job eval may be today. I got good marks for it. Made me feel good to know they think I'm doing a good job in the ER. I have been trying to get caught up on my dusting. I need to find out where we keep clean curtains for the rooms cuz two need to come down and be laundered. Sadly the ER is bad about keeping things contained like C-Diff and Covid and stuff.

They're lax on their safety protocols. I have tried to report it to the powers that be but nothing gets done. My advice would be not to go to the ER unless you absolutely have to. If there's an urgent care I would do that first. And I would recommend no matter which you choose to definitely wear a mask.

Having a pot pie before work. I reported something to the supervisor yesterday and was told that nothing may get done about it because if we go after nursing they will get mad and go after us. Hospitals are supposed to be safe but I guess nobody cares anymore.

I find workplace politics to be very disappointing and discouraging. I was told during training in the ER to basically turn a blind eye to the lack of safety protocols because it would be easier on me. Meanwhile they are actively spreading Covid and I'm supposed to ignore it.

Our workplace chants safety first and puts out all these safety videos for us to suffer through only to just do whatever they want. And we're being told it's best to ignore it. Last time I said something about something they retaliated by trying to turn me in to risk management for something that wasn't my fault.

I have no choice but to comply or look for something else. No matter where you work the same crap happens. These hospitals get all these awards for their care and frankly it's shameful.

I've spent the past few days working on my Stardew Valley game. I have a larger summer crop started right now. I need to go back into the mine and try to work my way to level 40. I will hafta collect more food sources for that task. Still haven't made friends with Marnie to retrieve the mayor's shorts. :sick::ROFLMAO: Too bad the game won't let me scoop them up with my fishing pole. :ROFLMAO:
 
Me and two other ladies ate at this burger place that has the best burgers I've ever had but they stink. Something to do with the grill they use. They hafta be eaten outside or the smell will permeate the car, house and etc. LOL!

We then went to Walmart and they were able to get me in earlier for my shot. Then we wandered the store for a bit cuz we all needed stuff. Had a good time. Now I'm home and already tired from my vaccine. If I don't feel yucky I plan to order pizza later.
 
so far this moderna vaccine isn't making me feel as awful as the pfizer ones did. i'm a little feverish and a little achy. my arm hurts like hell, though. i'm tired but i can sleep it off after my packages get here.

I no longer feel creepy from the vaccine. Arm still hurts so I will probably use the heating pad on it again today. I gotta get some coffee in me. Thinking of having a soak in the tub. I don't know yet. One of these days I'm gonna get in there and not be able to get out. 🤣

The forecast says 76 for today but it's rainy and chilly and we might get some sleet? Friday will start the weekend cool down for us. We will be getting more winter-like weather.

I still need to cut my hair before I go back to work next Monday. I've been debating on whether to keep the short cut or maybe let it grow and keep it in a layered bob. I see YouTube has several DIY videos that aren't hard to follow.

I am also thinking of taking up crochet again.

I am still struggling with my cpap masks. I think I'm going to give the nasal pillows a try. I am sick of dealing with the full mask having to be strapped on like a medieval torture device to keep it from leaking. It's either that or I'm throwing in the towel. I have tried everything else and nothing is comfortable. I'm tired of not being able to sleep.

I am super sleepy right now. Gonna go do my dishes and maybe get in the tub. Be back later.

i may never get to retire. i'm thinking i'll be on disability before that happens. :LOL:

i'm just so thankful for vacations. i did find out if i put my vacation requests in early enough i can get my 2 wks for the year but they don't want us taking it all at once because we don't have enough help.

just having someone gone for a week is hard enough.

feeling good today otherwise. called the dr for a different fluid pill because the others were bothering my asthma. so now he wants to see me. *rolls eyes* i'm tryna talk him into a telemed appt. instead since it costs me $20 for the uber.

still enraptured with the masked singer. discovering whose under the mask is entertaining at times. i have managed to guess a few of them. but some i just don't even know.

irritated today because the dr insists on seeing me in the office because he changed a medication for me from one that was bothering my asthma to one i know i can take. not even wheezing now that i'm not taking the other. so annoying. i hafta spend money i don't need to and hadn't planned on. ticks me off.

not much going on today. just veggin.
 
Well, doc listened to my lungs. He said there's no wheezing but it's kinda tight so he's sending in a scrip for a medrol dose pack. We had a second discussion about the Metformin. Last time he gave it to me he tried to have me take all 4 pills in one day. Not a good idea. One of the side effects is some wicked diarrhea. It supposedly goes away after a while but it was so bad it was interfering with my job and everything else.

So we talked about trying it again in smaller increments and a little slower to give my body a chance to acclimate to it. I really don't want to be diabetic if I can help it. He had me get a quick A1C done too while I was there. When I go back to work Monday I'll pick those two scrips up. I grabbed my fluid pill scrip while I was there today.

We discussed the CPAP machine some. I told him I'm trying to use it. I did tell him I've noticed an improvement. So that's a good thing.

When I got home I decided to call the ambulance place again to see if MASA had processed my bill yet and they pd the rest of it off. So I will be able to schedule the car into the Ford place as soon as I finish paying off the other half of the CPAP bill on my credit card. Woohoo! Hopefully I'll be back on the road next month.

i was standing in the kitchen just now wondering why my tummy was upset and kinda starting to burn. stupid me i forgot to take my daily meds. lol! i took my steroid pill and my metformin and i guess i decided that was enough without my knowledge. :cautious::LOL:
