How has Monica Lewinsky's career panned out?

Monica Lewinsky is a bit of a nonentity. She is "famous" for performing a sexual act on a President. As such, I can say I have zero interest in what else, and who else, she has done. Other than a single moment of passion,she doesn't warrant attention. We know her name 0nly because of the political capital that was made over the incident.

A Google search tells me she's a "writer and activist", concentrating on cyberbullying.
 
I don't know where she is now but I do know she was young and she was used by an older powerful man. She should have been smarter but she wasn't.

Sometimes using a woman like that is unacceptable and other times it's glossed over. It often depends on who the older powerful man was.

I don't know about all that. Yes she was swept up in a political storm, and that had some dangers. But the reality is, she chose to have sexual contact with Clinton. She knew who he was. She kept the dress because she knew what it meant. So I don't know if I have any sympathy for her.
 
She did an interesting interview a few years ago and I see she has a Ted Talk. She sounds very smart. I think she suffered far more for her youthful mistakes than most of us had to do and I admire how she holds her head up now and got on with her life.

There are always those who find a way to excuse the experienced powerful man and blame the woman. Yes, she was young and dumb and she has paid the price for that. The powerful politician who was supposed to be running the country, not getting ********s under his desk, did not. Not interested in a response.

I just can't admire any woman who chooses to tear families apart by choosing to cheat on them. Lewinsky was old enough and smart enough to show some integrity and moral strength. Same goes for him. Yes the family "stuck together" but it was for political reasons I can't mention here.

I donā€™t think Lewinsky was going to say anything. I think Linda Tripp was the person who dropped the dime on everyone.

Blame the woman? Where did I blame the woman? She knew who she worked for. She willing performed a sexual act. That's what I said, and I think its indisputable. I didn't place blame anywhere. Given the nature of this incident, and the candidates for the next election, I'd say oral sex is (very) small cheese.

But whether Lewinsky said anything or not is not my concern...it's her actions...her willingness to cheat on his wife and child that lost my respect.

I agree with you Lara, that Monica and any woman who has an affair with a married man is doing a low, immoral thing that can result in innocent women and children being hurt. I wasn't trying to excuse what she did then, but saying that I admire her now for learning, growing, and changing from that thoughtless girl into a better person.
 
About the "incident"- nothing new under the Sun, men and women do what men and women do. Being on the public stage magnified the incident exponentially. A lot of media outlets made millions of $$ over the incident.
