What are reasonable prices at garage sales depends

I always felt that what is perceived as a reasonable price for items at a garage sale depends on which side of the transaction you're on. When I have a sale, I think my prices are very reasonable. However, if I went to someone else's sale and saw what I ask for the same things, I'd think the seller was totally insane.

1st I hate garage sales.
2nd Put the price tag for what you are willing to sell it for or what you would be willing to buy it for.
3rd Sell it for 1st price over half of your asking price.
There are yard sale commandos flipping your treasures at their next sale. Seen it happen at a flea market, A woman dickered with me for half my asking price and I walked along the booths afterwards and there she was selling my item at my first asking price. Never went to another flea market as a seller after that. It also happens on Ebay a lot.

SOP...stallholders at Car Boot sales ( that's what we call garage sales here) where people gather often in their hundreds and set up a stall of usually second hand stuff to sell.

Particularly if you get to the sale venue early as soon as you start to unload your stuff other stall holders will pounce and barter you down in price, and almost always you will see it later on in the morning being sold on their own stall for double or more what you sold it to them...never ever let anything go for less than you wanted for it initially unless it's getting to the end of the day and you don't want to take anything home with you..

I swear.....I will just pile everything in my house and set fire to it before I ever have another garage sale.

I think I would prefer to just donate to charity, they will pick up and provide a tax receipt.
