It's Fabulous Fifties Potluck and Party time at the bar

I know I'm very late ... but I had to sneak out of the house ... 😈

Glad you could make it, Lilac! πŸ™‚

Don't worry, I'll help you sneak back in. Bourbon girls have to stick together! πŸ˜‰

I love, love, L❀️VE, Imelda May!

Hello Bob and all here. I still have to get my things together. I've been lurking a bit and thought I'd say hello πŸ‘‹.
Hi, hurry up, Ruthie, shake a leg! 😁

For threads, I've got a jean jacket that I won in a raffle at an A&W stand years ago. Don't know why I kept it, but here it is:

Had to throw in a dance, no video, so you'll have to use your imagination.

Just my dancin' boots

And it still fits, amazing as so many people (both genders)get so fat as they age. Myself included I weigh more than I did especially when the kids were all home and I ran my sox off!

Yeah, I don't know why my weight has stayed the same, maybe metabolism, genetics, diet, or staying active, or who knows, but no matter how lucky we may be in that department, there's no outrunning the other effects of aging. But we just have to try and grow old gracefully. Keep your mind young, that's all you can do.

I did bring some snacks too ...

Can I get a Manhattan?
So sorry I missed this. I thought the bar was empty, and it seems you were here tucked away in the corner booth.
That outfit screams 50's with a little country girl thrown in to spice it up. Nice choice.
I'm gonna have to pour myself another beer, and go after some of that dip / cheeseball. Yummm

Ha ha ... You juvenile delinquents are all alike. You'd break any curfew rules just to go to a party.
Well, if I am ever asked about, I never saw you here, and I certainly never gave you any alcohol. ;)

I missed the shindig... but gotta say that jacket is *extremely* cool, @bobcat !
Thanks. It's probably a collector's item by now. There probably wasn't many of them made, and even at that, how many would have survived the years. Like I say, it's not something a person normally wears, except maybe to a car show or something. It's just been gathering dust in my closet.

Mmmmm, pass the mustard, I'm goin' in, and yeah, the toothpick advice seems rather sound.
Don't laugh. ;) When I was working in the lab, we had a new employee from India. Our custom was to treat a new worker to lunch on their first day. He ordered a sandwich and it has those cocktail picks in them which had decorative colored cellophane frills on one end. He thought they were part of the sandwich. Need I say more?
