Yes, I really get tired when the news just keep repeating the same thing over and over.

I remember when Covid started. Our newspaper had 18 pages of nothing but Covid news. I know because I counted. I eventually cancelled that paper and have never got another subscription to that paper.

First it was nonstop news on the Ukraine invasion, then it was the Palestine-Israel war. What next?

Yes, shutting off the TV is a great idea! I don't have cable but I get my news from the Internet which I like because I see headings that I don't like and just keep going. New broadcasters can, at times, be like those horses with blinds on them........... suffering tunnel vision.

That's what I was thinking, too... he had everything planned out so meticulously, I'm thinking what if this was a red herring. If he knew he'd be killing himself, they usually do it on scene or right away. Finding his car by a dock? With everything else so calculated, he very well may have had a car waiting him there knowing they'd focus on diving, etc.
 

I still think he left the car there to distract the police, still have a feeling he is on the Appalachian Trail and is heading South.
I pray they find him alive or dead.
People need closure.
 
The whole thing was very very , tragically sad. Someone that disturbed chose this awful thing to do and ruin so many people's lives, and ending so many people's lives 😭. I'll never understand why people do these kinds of things. Makes no sense to me 😕.

Even more bizarre is why they let him out of a mental health facility.

Investigators can request access to his social sites. Facebook does archive all accounts. Not sure about Twitter.

(btw, the Twitter name was changed to X. So I guess, technically, nobody tweets anymore)
 
Very glad to hear that it's over. The thing I've never understood when something like this happens is why, if someone is so determined to stop living, do they take others with them? He could have just gone down to that river and did what he ended up doing *before* the mass murder. I suppose I should be glad I don't understand the workings of a mind like that.

Just as they are cowards shooting unarmed civilains not in their lives they are also too cowardly to take their own life and must do something so heinous they know if captured their life will be hell. They use the killings for incentive. Along with projecting their rage/violent thoughts.

this is the shocking part of it. We never get to learn why he took the lives of innocent people...
 
They most likely did it ... to get just what the media and things gave him......... notoriety ....... being infamous on social media is same as being famous.
if a person is suicidal if they create carnage people will remember this persons name ..... long after they are gone...

we never learn why even if taken in as the true psychos will tell many different stories ( lies) to any person who asks / reporters someone writing books/ psychologists because once again the gain more notoriety.

suicidal people do not often see it that way IMO ...
i volunteer on a site with people who are suicidal and they do not think rationally about they cannot in anyway see the infamous thing.
They just know people will say "remember that guy?" and perfect strangers..... all over the world can say i remember he killed X amount of people .....

So the next person who feels invisible and troubled knows they can be talked about for a long time if they do something like this - copy cat types.
To test this i once asked co-workers to name people from these mass incidents ......... many could rattle off several names but had trouble naming all seven dwarfs from Snow White.

Maybe the right word is Legacy. They want to leave a legacy as one of America's top 5 mass murderers.

A fairly recent study showed there's always a spate of mass shootings after the media covers a mass shooting. I saw it either on psych.org or JAMA. The study was done at a university in 2016, and I'm almost certain it was Stanford University.

A box trailer is where he was located, right in the back of that," Sauschuck said. "Some of those trailers are locked. Some of those trailers aren't. He was found inside one of those boxes that was unlocked from the outside."
 
I’ve seen both stories. It doesn‘t matter enough to look it up.

He isn’t a threat any longer and I’m good with that.

And some people are (mis)characterizing it as a dumpster. Suitable, if you ask me.
 
Card's automobile was located parked at a boat launch in Lisbon
From there is a walking trail I would estimate to be about a mile from Maine Recycling Corporation
My guess is he parked and walked down the trail to the site of his former employer where he was recently fired from
