What have you bought recently?

yes ... they are quite roomy but I wanted to ensure the one I got had enough room for clothes underneath.

I paid just £15 for mine in the store reduced from £25... and I've seen the same one online for £99 so be careful..
I would only wear it at home. I'll check more sites for prices. Some that I looked at were $100 or more.

Another pair of over-glasses by Sun Shields. Not quite as ugly as my usual pair. A beret style hat - not sure I like it but the weather isn’t co-operating with keeping me warm. Those two items added up quickly.

Didn't spend any actual cash but used part of my gift card to get garden maintenance stuff and some daffodil bulbs. Kroger was out of the $1.89/lb turkey breasts so we went to Publix. They didn't have any turkey breasts at any price, but DD wanted to get some BOGO root beer (a fave of DSIL) and I still wanted to get some cash so I paid for the rootbeer and "bought" some cash. There's nothing I want/need to do with cash, just don't like not having any real money on hand.

That was our exciting morning. DD wanted to rush home so she can clean downstairs. What? Who rushes home to clean?

For $17 at amazon bought and just received a navy blue small size 9M Mens Ultra Soft Thermal Shirt - Compression Baselayer Crew Neck Top - Fleece Lined Long Sleeve Underwear. 92% polyester fleece and 8% spandex. Has a nice smooth feel and fits me snugly but not in a limiting way. Also will work nicely as a base layer for skiing. And finally, will be kind of nice as part of maybe a form showing clothing outfit for this fit guy.

So now that I know, just ordered 2 more, in the gray and white colors that was just below the new minimum amazon free shipping total. So added a 69 ounce Swiss Miss Milk Chocolate box for $8 that has 50 each 1.38 ounce packets. Cheapest weight per ounce source of sweetened chocolate one can buy. I eat the dry powder because it is intensely chocolaty and sweet.

I do that occasionally... I'll pick up some cash from the Bank just to have it in case I need it in an emergency for something..or maybe have to pay a contractor in cash,.

Cash is king as far as my purchases go. Cash is anonymous, nobody like, retailers, credit/debit card companies or banks, can amass a profile of my spending. What I find so Orwellian about those profiles is that they have become big business. Have you noticed how the big company supermarkets sell discounted items and multiple offers, but only with their loyalty card. That's because cash buyers are avoiding their profiles.
A profile of our spending habits can be copied, is copied and sold. Other profiles are bought and added to our existing profile, and so it goes on. In fact cash has all but become a dirty word.

HC...no that's not true with regard the supermarkets and the discounted items.. the items are discounted to you if you have a store card..not if you're paying only cash.. .The store card is free but of course it comes with the knowledge that your sending habits are tracked... you can pay cash and get all the discounts if you have a store card.

That's what I was trying to say Holly, but re-reading my post I can see my ambiguity. How I hate this getting old malarkey, the old brain just doesn't compute the way it used to.

I've done that but stopped after choking on some inhaled cocoa powder. You might want to add a little water to create a thick slurry that won't get into your lungs.

I don't have store cards anymore. If I shop somewhere that DD or a DS frequents, I use their phone #s. They get the loyalty points, I get the discount, and the trackers get confused. Win-win-win.
