What is something that is popular now that annoys you?

Influencers on social media.
I don't need to be told what to do or what to buy based on the say so from some idiot who's somehow managed to get, millions of "followers" on social media:mad: Get a real job!!

People who have mortgages complaining on the news daily ….they can’t pay them …but each and EVERY school holiday / long weekends the airports are full of young family’s going away on holiday's

When hubs and I got married we had a mortgage and was paying 17 % + interest ( in 1988) we didn’t go away ever until we had paid the mortgage in full

interest rates in Aust are currently about 6%

There should be a snitch line for this!

I've never been one for tattletaling, but when it comes to the seriousness of being behind the wheel of an automobile and rubbing the responsibility of such in the face of the law, more needs to be done to quash such, including taking away people's driving privileges and issuing crippling fines.
Correct, they never should have let them start it to begin with, it is an accident waiting to happen.

Reacting - to everything. Nothing just happens anymore. I was watching a video yesterday, the subject of which is irrelevant. However, part of it had a whole segment at how we need to do something to help children through puberty, because puberty is so tough.

I wanted to scream at the screen, every single human, ever, has been through puberty. But everything is a problem these days. Everything is a life and death. No-one every asks, "well, how have people been dealing with this for years and years"?

No offense intended to anyone - but reading some of the comments in this thread, and I think - really? Things that don't have any impact at all on someones personal life, bothers them. Newsflash: Fashions are always dumb. Back in the day, I wore a dog collar. And I mean an actual dog collar (it was a punk thing). Dumb as rocks.

We all need to chill. :D

  • Lack of vehicle speed enforcement on freeways for those speeding well over 80mph with 65mph speed limits where average traffic flow is often 67>75mph.
  • Public, trash littering in urban areas that were for decades once clean.
  • Cheating in schools.
  • High ticket price portable chair seating in front of stages at stadium music events instead of traditional general admission standing.

Funny you should bring this up, because my first thought of "something that is popular now that annoys me" is people whining (to be polite) about cell phones. Jeebus.

You are correct - we all need to chill.

I read a new story some time ago of a guy who was prosecuted for interfering with communications. Essentially, he got tired of being on public trains with idiots chatting at the top of their voices. So he ordered a signal blocker from China. If he was near someone talking on the phone, he would press a button and disconnect them. :D

Of course I find people walking in front of my car in a parking lot while staring mindlessly into a device annoys me the most, modified people are becoming a close second. These are folks, mostly young, with tattoos and piercings everywhere, even all over their necks and faces. Then they wonder why they can't get employment. It makes me want to pack up and move to the country and I may yet do that. :giggle:

Tattoos have been normalized. I don't have any, and I guess that says it all. I don't quite understand it, especially on beautiful women. I follow a guy on Youtube, and he filled his body with tattoos. Then he had another idea, so he literally blacked out his entire body, and started again - color on black. I don't understand it, but it's dedication!

I guess the only time I've had someone walk in front of my car in a parking lot was some elderly person with "hitch in their get-a-long", like me, and I just patiently waited on them, knowing the shoe could have been on the other foot. No cell phones were involved.

And whining about tats is a close second to things that annoy me, right behind whining about cell phones. Have a nice day.

How many tats have you got? :D

Just four, all "Sailor Jerry" design. Got them all after I retired, and they are all covered up with a tee shirt.

These are on my chest - they were the last two. The mermaid is on my left arm - had it done while I lived in Hawaii. I also have a Hula Girl on my right arm,, but the image won't load.

Thanks for asking
