During the US Civil War, what town in Vermont was attacked by Confederate soldiers, who robbed two banks and then fled back into what Canadian Province. Name the town ? Remember no goggle searches.

I love, love, love Civil War topics and studying it. The St. Albans Raid was the Vermont incident, but I have no idea where they fled to in Canada. Do I get half a bowl of soup?

They fled back to Montreal. Guess who was seen and identified in Montreal, 3 weeks before Lincoln was killed ? After the end of that war, many Confederate Generals moved to Canada, specifically Toronto and Montreal. Would you like some sharp cheddar cheese crackers with your soup ? JimB.

Campobello Island is a unique US historical site because....You can only access it from Canadian territory, over a bridge. JimB.

Sure Gangon's chocolate from New Brunswick. Or Lora Secord's from Ontario. She was a war of 1812 Canadian icon, who warned the British soldiers about a group of Americans who had crossed the Niagara river, and were advancing towards the then Capital of Newark, Ontario. Newark later became Niagara On The Lake. Jimb.

I can think of 3 methods of accessing Campobello Island other than via the bridge. Float plane, helicopter, or any number of styles of watercraft. see Welshpool Hall for deets.
