I Was Being Honest

Sure it's ugly but Thumper has a point too. If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. Why not just scroll past and not saiy a word? The lack of likes on his post will send the same message you did but as a love tap instead of a sledge hammer to the face.

""Life has taught me that honesty is a virtue, but one to be practiced in moderation…and if someone asks you if certain pants make their behind look big, run! ""
The honest answer to that one is always no. It isn't the pants.......
I always make my lies into gospel truths, like "I'm sorry" (that your ass is so fat you're a foot taller when you sit down).

Sort of a Hawaiian type. I wore one a bit more colorful than that for my retirement party with my family. What a great day that was! My wife has not allowed me to wear it out in public with her ever since however. Probably should have included a hammer, a lawn mower, and a snow shovel in that pic!

A guy on my other forum posted this shirt he bought for $3.00 at a Thrift Shop. I told him it was ugly and he paid $3.00 too much for it. Then he got mad at me...lol! You be the judge...was I right or wrong??

Well, Breezer, you seem to have become of victim of "Free Expression" which is no longer free. You said the shirt was ugly instead of being politically correct and that you thought the shirt was "lovely."

I wouldn't give you my opinion because I believe that "beauty is in the eyes of the beholder."

However, when I go shopping and I see those girls in their 20s and 30s and even older wearing those ugly torn up blue jeans that they pay a fortunate for, I know the world has gone mad.

Your shirt is BEAUTIFUL in comparison what I see those young "beauties" wearing. I think they think it's stylist?

There's a reason the Pricer at the Thrift Store tagged that shirt at $3.00.

At any rate, I apologized (for telling the truth) and consider the matter to be closed. :)

I like it. It wouldn't bother me one iota if someone else didn't.
This is the thing everyone has different tastes, preferences in just about everything. What one person wouldn't consider wearing another would enjoy. i'm with Murrmurr....doesn't matter if anyone else likes/dislikes approves/disapproves of my style and taste in anything.

But then it would never occur to me to post photos of a personal item i thought was a bargain practically inviting nays and yays. Who needs them?

Tagged at $3.00, I don't know who the Price Setter felt more sorry for...the actual shirt or the person buying the shirt.

Don't get mad at me for thinking you are wrong. The shirt might be ugly to you but for him it represented a good buy. Not many like being judged negatively for the choices they make.
Shopping at a thrift shop should give you a clue that the ability to buy a trendy shirt like this just isn't going to happen.

COOFANDY Men's Casual Dress Shirt Button Down Shirts Long-Sleeve Denim Work Shirt

Price:$35.97

In our dress-down age, we should probably be glad to see people wearing almost any clothing. Most of the convenience stores I enter have a small, discrete sign on the door saying, “Shirt and shoes required.” You would think that such a sign wouldn’t be necessary, but sadly it is… 😔

if he likes it that is his business, but it was a thrift shop. our local thrift shop would have only charged a quarter or maybe fifty cent.
