What are your opinions on MAC compatibility, compared to Windows 11?

If you are using iPhone or iPad, then the Mac compatibility is incredible. Get a link in a text message that goes to something not really made to display on a phone? Copy it using any of several methods, walk over to your Mac and paste into the browser address bar - seamless cut and paste between devices. Also airdrop. Got a photo or file on one device that you need to move to the other device - airdrop it for an instant transfer.

With iCloud enabled, the calendars can be shared between all your devices seamlessly, same for reminders, notes, text messages etc. The Apple ecosystem works really well together.

Now making the transition from Windows to a Mac can be another thing altogether. The Mac way of doing things is different from the Windows way. There's lots more that can be said.

I have everything Apple, and I LOVE how it all integrates together ! When I have IM’s, they come on all my devices, including my Apple Watch . I have different apps on the different devices because I do different things, ie., I read on my iPad Mini, and use the kindle app a lot on that one, but hardly ever on the iPad Pro 12.9, which has an external keyboard , making it like a laptop.
I do have a MacBook Pro that my daughter gave me, but since I use the big iPad for almost everything, I do not use the MacBook that much.
My daughter gave me my first iPad around 2011, and I fell in love with how wonderful it was and how simple to use (I love simple !) and have never looked back since. I did have a big Dell XPS-18, and it was always wanting to update and taking hours to do that every time I turned it on. I never liked the newer Windows programs anyway, and finally gave the Dell to my son, and he enjoys it because it has that big screen.

Oh gosh I don't miss those looooong updates from windows.. *ugh*

I think it works this way! Those with the money buy into the Apple system and love it.

Those with a lot less money buy into the Windows system and keep suffering with their constant updates.

Me? I have Windows 10 and it's over 5 years old. When it "kicks the bucket" guess what system I will buy? Hint: Think of a healthy fruit.
