I Died Today by Duke Roberts is the touching look at a dogs last day on Earth. If you’re a dog lover you’ll want to have a tissue handy while you watch this because it’ll bring a tear to your eye. Duke’s family and friends truly loved him so they wanted to make his last day as fun and special as they possibly could. Duke got to eat as many hamburgers as he wanted, go for a car ride, play in the spash park, and say goodbye to his family.

Yep, I'm with Jim, dog lover here, I'm not going to watch. I read the book about the pet dog Marley, but to this day, I've not watched the movie as I know the ending and just don't have it in me to want to go through that ending again.

I also adore pooches...and next week I'm seeing my adored 7 grandfurkids for the first time again in 2 years never ever been away from them for so long, and I'm beside myself with excitement..and like you Jim, been in that awful place with 4 dogs in the past.. and 3 of the grandfurkids are now so old they may not finish out the rest of this year....it's just heartbreaking!!:(

I cried all the way through that video.. :(

I just can't do it again Holly. More than I care to retell I have held a dear pet in my arms and watched the life ebb from it and felt it's little body go completely limp in my arms. No more, too old, it's too rough on me.

Yep I totally understand Jim..that's why I don't have any of my own any more..it's heartbreaking just to watch my granfurkids get old and sick, without it being my own any more..

One of the grandpooches had to be PTS last year...he was an adored dog who'd been a rescue from a Dogs homes , but he turned on one of her other dogs while my daughter held him on a leash ..and ripped the chest out of the other pooch..and in the ensuing melee she couldn't untangle the leash from her hand ( he was a very strong Dog)...and he hauled her over a 30 feet cliff..tearing off 2 of her fingers on her right hand and ripping the skin off both of her legs on the flint she landed on ( she was just wearing t-shirt and shorts.. )...she was very seriously injured...and the other pooch( a dobie) was so severely injured we thought he wouldn't survive. There was no other option but to have first pooch PTS..yet throughout the shock and the serious injuries to both my daughter and the Dobie my daughter and s-i-l were heartbroken, and s-i-l asked the vet for permission to administer the fatal injection himself..sobbing his heart out, and cradling him the whole time...devastating situation....

For all the serious injuries he caused, we still miss that pooch very much... here he is in a picture of with me 2 years ago ....
