What Was the Last Movie You Watched?

Rifftrax: Attack of the Super Monsters!

Watched this on Pluto TV last night. I think Tubi also carries it. Or for like $11 you can download it from the Rifftrax site.

Pretty hilarious. This 6 minute description doesn't even do it justice. The guys got some great riffs into this one.

Five people from five different nations suddenly find themselves on an alien spaceship where they are each given a container holding capsules. Every person has been given the power over life and death. Any of these individuals can instantaneously launch the capsules to whatever coordinates they choose and each capsule will then eradicate all human life within a 3,000 mile radius of its designated location. What will they choose?
"The 27th Day" (1957)

One hour, 15 minutes. All on YouTube free with ads.

On Netflix tonight, Spenser Confidential. The only resemblance to Robert B. Parker’s books, was the names of the characters.

The Killer, also on Netflix, a couple of days ago. The title describes it.

@Jules I hated "Spenser Confidential" and I am a Spenser fan from way back. Read all the books at least three times, watched Robert Urich as Spenser for years and this particular movie was wrong and untrue to Robert B. Parker's version in every respect.

I was busy most of the evening looking for Hallmark Christmas movies to watch with my daughter tomorrow, watched a few minutes of quite a few of them and then got interested in one and watched it all the way through even though it wasn't a Christmas movie.

It was called "A Gift Of Miracles." I loved the story, I just had a hard time with the lack of chemistry between hero and heroine! Okay, it was sappy and not very realistic, but what can I say. I like that kind of movie!

I own a few classic movies on DVD:

I watched two of them recently.

Pride and Prejudice 1940

Excellent script and acting.

Casablanca 1942

Casablanca points out the many sacrifices people had to make in the war against Germany. My mother's love interest was killed in the war. I found a bag in the attic containing a picture of him along with a telegram announcing his death in battle.
She met my father after the war.

That movie always moves me to tears when I think about how WW2 impacted people's lives as it did.

A Walk in the Woods stars Robert Redford and Nick Nolte. About 2 guys who hike the Appalachian Trail. About 1 hour and 44 minutes on Netflix, 2015. I loved it! I found it endearing and the time went fast.
I loved the movie as well. I liked the book it was based on, by Bill Bryson, even better! Anybody interested in reading travel books, look him up. He can be hilarious at times.

Ilsa and Richard are in love because she thought her husband was dead. But in this scene she knows he's alive and she can't find a way to let Richard down without hurting him.

I love the funny comedies courtesy of Adam Sandler. Especially, the latest one "Just Go With It" with Jennifer Aniston, which we watched late last night.

Today since dinnertime, we've watched two recent films by Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston, "Murder Mystery" & "Murder Mystery 2". Funny 🤣🤣🤣

I'm glad you watched these. I've been meaning to watch more of Sandler's movies and have only seen two - 50 First Dates and The Waterboy - and I am hooked.
