Do You Prefer a Rake or Power Blower?

There are many makes but here is one. Look at how the "tines" are configured. Makes it ... Clog Free / No Clog
And this one from Craftsman ... a "Best Seller"

I have one of those but I still use my old metal rake. Just let it clog. It still rakes.

Well Amazon doesn't have them here, but on searching I found a couple.. not cheap... the true temper one you posted at $4..and change is £50..here..

WHOA !!! ... that's crazy !!!
The True Temper one IS on the U.S. Amazon site but listed at $38.04 ... has a rating of 4.5
True Temper 20212011 Clog Free Leaf Rake with Hardwood/Steel Handle, 30 in. for Leaves, Grass, Clippings, Twigs, Pine Needles, Acorns, Debris,Black

I just buy the one I have from the local hardware store. Been a good while, but I think was around $20-25

EDIT: And that page I linked that showed it at $4 and change, also shows it out of stock.
So they can put any price there I guess.

We live on 40 acres of heavy forest....Oak, Walnut, Hickory, etc. If leaves had any commercial value, we'd be filthy rich. I have a big backpack blower, and a smaller battery powered blower. I just blow most of them away from the house any my workshop, then mulch most of them up with my riding mower....makes good fertilizer for next years lawn.

I have an ergonomic rake that I use a lot. Not long ago I bought a battery powered blower just to keep leaves and debris off delicate rock garden plants and succulents. I've never been able to find another but it is great and has lasted like 30 years. It allows you to rake without bending over at all.

It is curved something like this but doesn't have any silly looking extra handle on it. I'll have to get a picture of mine. I hope it continues to hold up a while longer.

I prefer a power blower. We really have only our driveway and our back courtyard that need attention. We have a huge Live Oak in our front yard and I have to use the power blower every day during fall to get the acorns off the driveway. We own the lot above us that is filled with trees and the amount of leaves that fall down onto our courtyard is insane. I occasionally go out and blow them away with the power blower, but it is a walled-in courtyard so it isn't as simple as blowing them out into a yard. Our lawn man came today with his blower and gathered up 3 trash bags full. A rake would never work for me.
