Something that used to be very common here was Police Cars on the road.
Very rare here in Perth now. Hear them late every night with sirens blaring. During the day? Zilch
Also Speed Cameras. It must be over 2 years since I passed a roadside Speed Camera.

Used to be, you saw a zillion of them. They probably can't get anybody to do that.

I was seriously laughing out loud at you not having passed a roadside camera. We the uk are the camera King of Europe.. between roadside cameras, speeding cameras, CCTV,,you name it WE have 9 different type of roadside cameras alone.. and in many places you can't drive more than 50 yards before you encounter a speeding camera.. so if you want to fill your boots ..come on over it won't be 2 years it'll be 2 minutes ...

We still have ours too, the finger dial still
works but we also have modern appliances
so the finger dial phone is more of a keepsake.

Does anyone here have some real need for the cell phone? I don't need one and figure anyone who wants to get in touch with me can leave a message if I am not home. I wouldn't take a cell phone with me if I had one, I figure I am out don't bug me with a phone call.
