I did the same except my wife cuts my hair.same here. when the pandemic hit i got a wahl and have been doing my own haircuts for 4 yrs now.
Good job Deb! I also love the color.I haven't been to a beauty parlor in years. I learned with much trial and error to cut my own hair since I'm certainly not going to be in any beauty pageants. And if I make a mistake, it will eventually grow out. I think I do an adequate job. Someone took my picture at the senior Christmas party a few years ago just after I did mine. I'll let you be the judge.

You could go for the aging hippy look.OMG. I need to to go every two months.
However, I've not been in a long while. My hair is long! inches below my ears, five inches at the back. Disgraceful.
I've taken to combing it back and hoping for the best. The best is achieved by not looking in a mirror.

Here in Australia, they call it "The Mullet". They even have competitions for the best styled Mullet. It seems to be popular with tradesmen and men working on the land.One time my neck got to feeling like The Wolfman back there when I reached around.
