How often do you go to the hairdresser?

before covid, wore my hair very short. usually needed a re-cut about every 6-8 weeks. by the time i got out during pandemic, was just long enough to tuck behind my ears. now it's long... for me... not quite touching shoulders. a little OT, but i don't think LONG hair is attractive on many women over a certain age.

Every 5 or 6 weeks. Tomorrow is 5 weeks and I’ll be getting it cut.

You do a great job Deb! I used to get it cut every 8 weeks when I wore it shorter. I find it to hot to exercise when I can’t pull my hair back into a ponytail so haven’t cut it in 8 months. I don’t want it to long either so will probably need a trim by summer.

Bretrick, I absolutely love seeing people with curly hair! I especially love seeing cute little curly headed children. I used to see a hairdresser every three months or so because I had a curly perm. My mother and I had a nice hairdresser who would come to our apartments. She was the one who told me it was time to stop perming my hair because of the damage it was starting to do.

I went through other hair dos until finally I settled on the easiest one. About a decade ago, I cut my hair so it's really, really short and easy care. Now I understand why I would see so many older ladies with really short hair.

My barber retired back in 1968 and my wife's been cutting it since then. As I approach 90, I don't seem to have much left. Not sure whether to blame old age or if it's my wife's doing? Probably safer to say it's disappeared naturally which is actually the case.

Well this wasn't long hair hanging down back there. More like thinner hair growing right out of the neck and down below my collar. I had to get after it before I sprouted a tail.

I have naturally wavy hair and don't require much of a upkeep. I'm terrified of the last gal who trimmed my hair. Had she trimmed an inch more, I'd look like Yul Brynner. I have no plans to return and if I do... I'll find another gal to cut my hair.
