Biggest solar flare in years disrupts some radio communications on Earth.

Back in the late 1990's I read an article about scientific studies they were doing of activity on the sun's surface. In the article it said it would be many years to several decades before these solar disruptions reached earth and had an effect on it. I have often wondered about this article. It never said so, but I have often wondered what effect unusual solar phenomenon has on our weather. I am not convinced we know as much as we think we do about what affects weather and how much control we have over it.

Personally, I am not that convinced that the weather change we've witnessed is all caused by human activity. We definitely don't know its root cause. And, I wonder if we aren't giving due credit for the effect of the sun's activity on our atmosphere and weather.

I agree. Us human have not been here long enough to know what really happens weather wise.
