Does the universe keep score?

No, there is no giant balancing wheel in the universe. And since I'm a Christian, I reject the concept of karma. In this life, we "reap what we sow" in relation to those people in our lives, but that is not karma. And since Jesus died to wash away my sins, and perhaps yours, then there will not be retribution once we cross over into the afterlife we are promised.

I often chide God that he put us here and expects us to be fruitful and multiply without any help from him. That is so unfair on so many levels given the suffering going on everywhere. I say that knowing full well I probably don't know what I'm talking about, but I know he knows what I mean.

That presupposed that "doing" is something bad.
But we all know if it's in Gods plan it's his decision.
Not according to God's word in the Bible. God's plan rebukes evil. God has a perfect plan and that includes giving us the choice to choose good or evil. If we choose evil that's on us. And we will pay natural consequences...or more. Or forgiveness if we believe in the terms of forgiveness.

And that payment may not happen in our lifetime here on earth. That also addresses the comment from some others who say "horrible people get away with everything". They don't. Maybe they do here and now but there's a reason for Judgement Day.

Unlike most others.. I do believe in Karma... only because I've seen it many times in action.

Call it what you will..co-incidence.. whatever, but I have been wronged by enough people, and taken no revenge, only to see them be hit with something further down the line far worse than I would have been able to do to them had I chosen to take revenge...

When I was little my mother always told me to remember .. ''Vengeance is mine , I will repay saith the Lord'' ... and to let God take care of it... and so far, he's not let me down.. altho' sometimes it seems as tho' he has, but eventually it comes to pass...

There is some truth in the laws of attraction. You attract people that you share interests with. Does a person’s actions and activities attract similar actions and activities? Humans are social creatures, we are most comfortable with people of like minds, and other similarities.
Is the universe as we know it merely reflection of another universe and so forth? How do you know what is real and true when no other explanation is available?

The thing belief is people will fight to the death to defend their beliefs without tangible proof. Faith is real for people who choose it to be. It is disturbing when faith is used as an excuse for bad behavior.

Like the Patriot Act, will the day come when citizens are monitored 24/7 by the protection given to us against criminal activities and rebels against the system. Will identifying information be available for reasons of control and observations?

Sadly, no. But it can be comforting to think so.

I think people who do something nasty to someone else is simply more likely to have something nasty happen to them, giving the illusion of a score sheet. However, the biggest of the bad guys are the richest, and most influential, and I reckon they get away with a lot without recompense.

Personally I don't believe it's the universe doing it... I think when something bad is done to another person, it SEEMS like retribution every time something bad happens to the person who did the bad thing. Probably could be that guilt plays a part, too. "Oh, this happened because I.... [whatever] so it must be karma."
