I was reading my birth certificate yesterday.
I was born 1962.
My parents were married 1962. 2 months after I was born.
Plus they had 3 children before I came along.
4 children before they got married.
Plus two babies died very early on
Why has it taken me this long to realise this?
I must have read this document at least a dozen times but only now understood what is written.
Wonders will never cease.

It reminds me of my late husband's mother and dad. I can't remember what year they were married but my husband was born in 1940. He was the oldest of 5 kids. His father died in 1972, I believe, and when my husband's mother filed for SS benefits, she found out that he had never divorced his first wife!! She was so mad at him that she said it was a good thing he was already dead, otherwise she would have killed him...haha. My husband got a chuckle out of it when he found out later in life that he and all his siblings were illegitimate!
