Oh wow, Norell body oil.. lovely.... :giggle:
I had a heck of a time finding it--it was one of those, when Huzz asked what I wanted for Christmas, I said I know what and I'll get it since you'll probably never find it, lol.

Anyway, I used to buy Norell perfume and cologne; welp those have both been discontinued but they do still sell the body oil above. And I think the only store here in the u.s. that sells it is Neimann Marcus and they ran out. So I found it on eBay. You do have to watch with eBay stuff (especially fragrances, sometimes they're selling old stuff) but the gal I bought it from has 100 percent positive feedback and it got here before Christmas and it was totally new, all still sealed up. So Merry Christmas to me!

We’ve given away trying to buy anything for each other, so for the last 3 years I’ve been putting $1 and $2 coins in a jar all year for us to share / buy what WE want, this year we shared $490.00 from the ā€œ Christmas Jarā€

We went to the family’s for a delicious lunch and for the first year ever, I did next to nothing apart from buying and cooking/ peeling 2 kg of fresh green prawns on Christmas morning and arranging then on a deep tray of shredded lettuce .
It also makes it a fun day having young grandchildren ..our GK range from 31 to 8 years old . ( 6 of them )

It’s normally warm to HOT 🄵 in Australia but it was a freezing windy 14c ( 57f) yesterday …for Christmas Day

our gift from the family.

We have been in the city for over a week babysitting a friends home while she’s away in Fiji
so it made it very convenient to be down in the city in a nice upmarket suburb ( in the Adelaide hills ) for catching up with family and friends over Christmas/ as well as attending our various Christmas parties at our dancing venues
We are going home to our own place tomorrow for a rest ..:):):)

Norell is one of my favorites! You have good taste, Rips! I've seen vintage Norell Eau de Cologne spray in unopened boxes for sale on eBay but have resisted buying because it's pricey, although I'd love to have it. I've also managed to find other discontinued fragrances on eBay for reasonable prices. Yes, a very Merry Christmas to you, you fantastic-smelling woman! 😁

I purchased a new air fryer for myself. I have had a few boxes of chocolate covered cherries, a box of Walkers shortbread. I have a freezer full of meats bought at holiday sale price to be enjoyed over the next few months. We are talking steaks, roast, brisket, shrimp, sausage and bacon.

Son did not get by to pick up his holiday spirits so I am enjoying some fine Kentucky sipping whiskey. I have not touched the Baileys ,,,,,,

When they do come by I will have replaced it in their Christmas basket. They went to my DIL sisters for Christmas day, I was invited but I just do not like to go places where there is the risk of not feeling comfortable. I know all these people, they are wonderful people but I just don't feel socially comfortable. They live a couple of hours away and I would have to go with my son. If it was closer I might try if I could take my car and leave when ready to go.

When my husband was alive I could go anywhere and have a great time just because I knew my husband was there. He was my safe spot, my safe person,
he kept me grounded.

I go a 15 inch lighted ceramic Christmas tree from my out-of-state, late husband's family. A box of Russell Stover chocolates from a niece in NY. A big fat Currier and Ives book from my good friend in MD and a bottle of wine from my next door neighbor. One of my renter/roommates bought a ham for dinner and the other one cleaned the out-of-control refrigerator and made it sparkle.

Not bad at all.

I think it is so wonderful that we appreciate the tender and loving gifts we receive when we are older. Sweets we don;t have everyday, lotions and soaps that make us feel better, gifts of time to do out for a picnic, shopping, to a visit a garden, or the zoo, with the little of the family. The simple and cheapest thngs are the best blessings that provide the best memories of what it means to be loved.
