Tell us what you got for Christmas gifts

I think it is so wonderful that we appreciate the tender and loving gifts we receive when we are older. Sweets we don;t have everyday, lotions and soaps that make us feel better, gifts of time to do out for a picnic, shopping, to a visit a garden, or the zoo, with the little of the family. The simple and cheapest thngs are the best blessings that provide the best memories of what it means to be loved.
who doesn't eat sweets every day ?.. wash your mouth out ... :sneaky::ROFLMAO:

The Paperwhite. I like it, easy to read, smaller than my old device, no negatives so far.
I love the Paperwhite too. I'm on my 2nd; only reason I got rid of the first one was because it was no longer going to be able to connect to wifi due to the 3G networks going away (or whatever it was going on). So I rushed and bought a new one with the wifi capability and it's slower than #$%^! A few months after I bought it, they brought out another model that was fast like my old one was, sigh. My tech guy had me turn the Power Saver mode off but it only helped a tiny bit.

My husband got me a cutting board for my homemade breads. He got it when we were in Vermont and it matches pieces we got last time we were there. The Vermont Bowl company sells them.
A cookbook for "Modern Pioneers".
A cute plant pot. Various treats and bobbles.
You are a delicate thing, when I make bread I tend to tear it apart with my bare hands, at least I use a knife for the butter and jam LOL!!

We just completed the nicest Christmas Day get together ever. Just my brother, his two high school aged kids and my wife and stepson. No hassle, no drama. The prime rib, scalloped potatoes and cranberry coleslaw came out great. Then we played five handed Giant Two for quite a while before breaking for persimmon pudding and tea. Gifts were limited to books and candy and all were happy with what they got. We don't even give each other gifts anymore. If we see something we want the other to have we give it irrespective of any holiday. So the quality of the company and the congeniality of the interaction is what made the day special. Best ever.

I am my own Santa Claus. Decided to wait until the days after Christmas this year since prices are so high. The days after Christmas food stores steeply discount holiday cookies, bakery items, and candies. General merchandise stores steeply cut prices for Christmas cards and other items. Looking forward to doing some serious Christmas shopping this week; the week after Christmas. 🎅

Amazon gift vouchers….so I got myself a couple pairs of trainers,a tray of tomato soup,a tray of oat milk and some upmarket pens for my cricket scoring.
Also got a Welsh rugby calendar…I’ll be putting on the cricket fixtures and planning the Summer and a tin of Foxes biscuits. What diet?

Oh, my goodness .. I received the warmest comfy pair of UGG slippers, Amazon gift cards, sheet set, special hand cream, and waaaay too many delicious biscuits, chocolate and treats.

We had stuffed turkey breast, mashed potatoes, carrots, gravy and lingonberry sauce. I may have left out one or two items.

Another Xmas behind us, and looking forward to the New Year.

this sounds like the ideal Christmas day.....

A coffee mug with pictures of my grandson on it (I keep breaking my coffee cups); The Book of Animal Secrets: Nature's Lessons for a Long & Happy Life by Dr. David Agus. I only bought presents for my grandson this season, no one else, so thank goodness I wasn't showered with gifts like last year.

I'm gifted every day of the year by my son/dil's generosity. More would be obscene!

I received a Netflix subscription (yay!) and a good deal of money. Also some L'Occitane cream. Lot's of chocolates that I have already gotten into. I am most pleased that I was able to pick out the perfect gifts for everyone this year. I felt like I was back to my old self again. And all my friends texted me on Christmas Eve and Christmas day and I felt very loved.

My daughter sent me this wearable blanket. It is so soft and warm. I sent her this photo and she says I look like something out of Christmas past..😁
