...and me. The trouble is the media will insist on calling people who have made an appearance as an extra on a soap.. or someone with a youtube channel.. ''A Star''.. so we get totally confused..
 
It could be getting worse as the streaming wars balkanize popular culture.

Don't pay for FatcatVideo? Well it owns studios X and Y and the souls of actors A and B. No soup for you!

Forget actors, Youtube and Social Media "influencers" are the stars of today. Hultén famously wrote a sentence miss-attributed to Warhol, "In the future, everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes". Well, we've arrived.

Of course, when you're young stars are part of the popular culture. When you're an oldster......... well, as has been said, it's only interesting in the obits.
