Are Real Estate Agents shonky where you are as well?

There is this idiocy in Australia where properties are now, "Priced From"
What does that even mean?
Priced from $649,000, Priced from $539,000
My understanding is when Priced From is used that is the minimum price.
Such as when Cafes advertise; Coffee, Priced from $4. Small coffee will be $4, anything larger will be dearer.
So how does this apply to a house, "Priced From". How would a house priced in such a way be more expensive?

Perhaps ... are these houses yet to be built? In which case, the base price includes certain features but prices may increase based on what you choose (for example, marble countertops).

Otherwise, I don't know!
These are established houses. The Estate Agents playing games with the buyers.

When a house in the US or Canada is listed for the sale, they’re offering it at X amount. It could go for more or less or right on that price. There’s no hard, set price. It's whatever the buyer is willing to pay and the seller will accept.

There's a guy I watch on Youtube, I think he's from New Zealand, and he does house inspections. Scary stuff. :D

You can find him here (won't let me link directly):

Here's a UK based one:

Having recently sold a house in Yanchep and bought one in Cloverdale I think it's because of the hot market at present. We used the same agent that we bought our current dwelling from to sell our old house, she's a straight shooter.
The agent who sold us the Cloverdale house was fairly slick but not outright shonky, didn't really have to trust him, just pay up and be done.
