Well, if I may briefly don my oxymoronical hat, I would say to expect the unexpected.

Lessons?, Growth? That's far too brain-taxing for me.

Mine is to pace myself. Sometimes I get overbooked and exhausted. Sometimes I need more stimulation.

What did I learn in 2023? Naps are great, have zero expectations of anyone and then you'll never be disappointed and we all want to and deserve to live peacefully so be kind to the people you meet because it starts with you/me.

I've found that simplifying my life is good. By getting rid of those who drained me I now have valuable time for myself.
Looking after yourself, minding your own business are wise. I don't think being saint-like gets any medals down here on earth at least, it just means being taken for a mug.

So, that's what I have learned. It's an uncomfortable philosophy but very practical!

I've had to do this too. The news is never good but most is irrelevant. It is essential to stop worrying about that which we cannot affect.
