Do you accept all cookies while browsing?

Very often I will go to the site's cookie settings and reject all but "necessary" cookies.
I often wonder - when I reject certain cookies does the site actually take any notice of my request or do they still leave those cookies active?
There is no way for the average person to check.

Thanks for the reminder that I need to erase all the cookies on my chromebook. Haven't done it for a month or so, so I'm overdue.

When asked i usually reject all cookies, but as has been said, who knows.....

I accept "necessary" cookies. That said, I've set my browser to dump all cookies (except for those I want to retain) when I close it. Problem solved.

I do the same. I have no idea what happens after that.

The majority of the time I reject all cookies, even if that means I can't access the site. That's my way of flipping an electronic finger at any site that thinks they're so special I should pay dues for browsing there.
