Ok, that's different then.But that's not the only tax bill on my property - there's water tax due in April and October, the village tax in June and school taxes in September.

That State has the highest tax ratios in the nation....nearly 16% for the average......But that's not the only tax bill on my property - there's water tax due in April and October (totaled $347.20 last year), the village tax in June ($647 last year) and school taxes in September ($2544.33 last year). That's over $4300 in taxes in one year.

Terry, do you have a monthly HOA fee. Some places around here have the general building taxes included in that and then they pay something for their own units. You’re lucky that Texas has tax benefits for seniors. We pay a fortune for our taxes and services. There is a partial deduction for seniors. I would mail it in. It’s ridiculous for them to think that people are going to hand deliver it. Most places allow you to pay online.We're supposed to bring the bill to the assessor's office to pay, but she has such limited hours. I don't like to drive after dark.
