63 cents a day donation

The Sticks, Northeast PA.
We just went through Medicare Advantage TV ad season, now we're into donation TV ad season. "For just 63 cents a day, you can save", whales, sick kids, abused animals, the planet, etc., etc.
63 X 30 days= $19.00. And $19 X 12 = $228, which ain't chump change.
So I'm a Scrooge, I don't like the constant tugging at your heart TV ads, and especially that the lion's share of the donations will be spent on more ads and to buy more TV ad time.
Bah, humbug!
( Do Brits get these TV ads?)
 

Oh I am so sick of those ads on TV here, and yes every one of them this year wants $19.00 a month to ?|"save? whoever whatever they are yacking about....cancer, polar bears, elephants, St Jude hosp, Marlo Thomas on and on........:confused:

you're lucky, some of ours are asking £29... this is actually appalling...given that most of the money will doubtless be going into the fat cats pockets..
 
My sarcasm got me in a spat on the polar bear webcam portal,
they were of course asking for donations, and so I "innocently"
asked how much they spend on food for the bears, they replied
they do not feed the bears, but the track their movements and such as that, I said why not drop some cows on the ice to
help them out, they said the cows would freeze to death HAHAHA...but anyhoo they wont feed them with the millions
of $$$ they collect every year.....:mad:
 
I donate to organizations that don't have the money to spend on these TV ads. I do what I can when I can. I donate for animals.
