Never had this happen before. It was a certain kind of shoe Easy Spirit used to make. They are very comfortable and they don't make them anymore. I wear them to work. I was glad to find another pair on ebay. I've ordered a few of them from ebay with good luck. The buyer has been very nice, said he/she insured them and they are going to refund me. Stated to start the process with ebay item not received which I did this morning.

The case I opened with USPS was useless, they had no more information than the tracking number gave me. They were shipped November 11, 2023 and nothing in tracking since. I have heard there are packages in warehouses. Why they are not moving, I don't know.

I, too, have had problems when shipments were sent USPS. In my location the shipments are delivered by regular postmen on their normal daily routes. Strangely, these postmen often deliver packages to the wrong addresses, but deliver the mail to the correct addresses. Often when a package does not come on the date promised we neighbors simply wait a few days and a neighbor brings the package to the right address after wrongly receiving it. Go figure. Makes no sense. Fedex often did the same until all my neighbors called to complain about it. (Yes. We all got together and made complaints to Fedex.) They must have changed the assigned driver to our area because the problem stopped and we get our packages correctly delivered, now. UPS has always been good.

I forgot to mention this earlier. I've found that the best solution to lost merchandise or uncooperative sellers who give me an argument about refunding for lost shipments is to complain to PayPal. I don't know what PayPal does but, the problem gets solved quickly and satisfactorily.

If you are going to buy things online....EBAY, etc., its a good idea to use PAYPAL as a means of payment. If the item gets lost, you can quickly recover your payment with minimum hassles. Paypal works closely with the USPS, UPS, FedEX, etc., and they can usually resolve the problem.

That's good to know. Fortunately this seller has been nice and cooperative. They asked me to put in the not received with ebay.

I did a return for etsy once and she was a total b.. I did get my refund in the end.

For inexpensive raw materials I’ll purchase from eBay. For anything else online I usually use Amazon. EBay uses too many drop shippers - meaning they advertise things they don’t yet have. Good luck Remy.

I do. I really like my paypal account. I can have a second checking account free with my bank so I have that one linked to my paypal. I put money in it, when I spend it down, I add again. It's great for online shopping.

This was about 35 dollars total with shipping. Not a make or break but with the cooperation of the seller so far, I should get refunded.

I had a little trouble with an Etsy seller. The lady clearly saw on tracking that the item was lost in transit and not moving. She started emailing me saying that she was not responsible for lost mail and she didn't need to take the hit for it. I had to file a report and copy Etsy on the mail and they were fast to jump into the conversation, apologize for the statement she made and told her "yes, you certainly are responsible as the seller." Got a really quick refund.

Update: Received notice of full refund including shipping and tax from Paypal. I'm grateful the seller was nice and cooperative. I put in the message when I did the item not received with ebay, that the seller had been great. It was not their fault. Shoes could show up some day, But I wonder where all that lost postage goes.

I'm sorry that happened. Some people can't admit they are wrong or something happened even if it was out of their control.

I returned a item last spring that I was just disappointed in from Etsy. The seller was so darn nice, I felt really bad for the return. You never know what you will get when dealing with people.

A month ago, I had a problem with UPS delivering an item from another company. They kept telling me it was on its way when I tracked it. But, it did not seem to be moving. I notified the company and when they got on them, that's when I got results. The people these delivery companies employ today have no sense of work ethic at all. It is disgusting.
