Do you arrive 10 minutes late or are you always early?

Always early! When I taught math, I was never late once for my first class of the day in over 25 years driving from our rural home 50 minutes away. And I drove on snowy icy roads. Once my car went in the ditch and two times I broke down - but still made it in time since I gave myself so much extra time.

Everybody seems to be early, except me. I could leave an hour ahead of time, and I'll still be a couple of minutes late. 10 minutes late is a stretch, may be 3-4. It just happens. Once I was late because the National Guard blocked off the road for an hour to slowly move their tanks across it. It's stuff like that. I just don't get bent out of shape, if I'm slightly late.

Usually try to time it for 5-10 minutes early. I have a friend who always tries it to be exactly on time, makes me nervous when we go places together. What if one of us has to stop to pee?

Do you dawdle to your destination? Are you always in a hurry because your time management skills are lacking?
I’m one of those who is always early because I never rush for anything or anyone. I even get to work 45 minutes before start time to have breakfast. Never rush. Time everything so there is no need to rush
Always early.

I want to be on time, so early. I have a co-worker who works the following shift. She is always late, 30-45 minutes and management and scheduling doesn't do anything.

I work part time but get up 2 hours before my shift because I don't want to rush. I also feed the feral cats at my workplace before going in.

Used to almost always be late. Now I'm almost always exactly on time or a wee bit early. If I'm late, it's less than 5 minutes. My life isn't as hectic and I'm no longer organizing getting 3 kids out the door.

I don't stress about it though - my friends don't get hung up on time when we make plans. I can entertain myself with no drama for a few minutes if one of them is ten minutes late and vice versa. Same with family. If we're running late, we text each other.

I used to be late for some things when I was working. Over the years, after getting tired of being stressed out due to rushing, I decided I'll try getting to appointments and events a little early. That was hard to do when my husband was alive though because he was always running late. Now I do manage to arrive a little early, though maybe not a full 10 minutes. :)

Never later than on time when precise scheduling is required.
Out of town and need to arrive by a certain time ... always early.

I even have a solar powered radio controlled wristwatch that sets itself to the U.S. Atomic Clock each night.
It's precise down to the nano-second. Although I hardly ever have a need to wear it ... only when required.

Certain my habits regarding this are two fold.
1) My parents instilled timeliness. Was even recognized for perfect attendance in school a couple of random years.
2) Military career ... nuff said.

I always aim to arrive early, or as close to on time as possible. Baring something unforseen, such as a traffic accident, or sudden severe weather I do not like being late. Yes, stuff happens, but I will at least try.
On the other side of coin, I used to have a couple cousins over for Thanksgiving as their family was out of state, and they always went for Christmas. One of them had a tendency to arrive an HOUR or more earlier than the time I asked him to come. I tried to explain that this was not welcome...as that last hour was busy, with my husband and I getting ready and all. So, I solved that by asking him to arrive later than I actually wanted him..then he would get there when I wanted him

All my clocks are set to 10 minutes fast, even the one in the car and the one on my wrist. Hence, I'm never late.
My mother used to do this to all the clocks in our house. I've carried on the tradition lol, only I set them just 5 mins fast. Of course, I only use my microwave as a source of time. And, the one in my car.

I tried that, but would always allow for that ten minutes in my brain anyway. Even worse, I'd see a clock in the house that either hadn't been set ahead or someone had corrected and would assume it was ten minutes fast. Let's just say no good came from that experiment.
