I'm glad I don't pay for the service. If I did, I'd probably drop it. I got Prime as a Metro PCS perk when I upgraded my plan to unlimited data and 15 GB of hot spot usage a few years ago. Peacock has ads but for movies, they show a couple of short ads before the movie starts then no more after that. The ads for the series are also relatively short then they'll show an ad when a program is paused. Amazon could take a tip from them. Want to remove ads...pay an extra $2.99 a month.

What a rip off! I am paying a $2.00+ fee not to have commercials not to mention paying for movie services and paramount station.

Amazon Prime Video ads kinda remind me of the ads that now play on video screens of many gasoline pumps that I use. I’m already paying for the product, so why do I have to pay for it twice?! 😾

I am paying the $2.99 for it to be ad free. I don't mind because I hate the ads. I was already paying $13.99 for YouTube Premium so I don't have ads there. So Amazon is much cheaper. It is still less than paying for the subscriptions to watch television. I am quite happy with it.

I wouldn't pay Amazon Prime for the videos period.

A few years ago, my sister was staying with me, she had Prime, we watched an older series, got into the second season, watched a couple episodes then, episode 3: "this video is no longer available". We checked, and every other episode in the six season series was available, except for the one.

So we decided to watch a new series. episode 1 released, thought we'd wait a week and watch two episodes in one sitting. Second episode 2 released , went to watch, episode 1: "this video is no longer available".

The cost of everything keeps going up and like me who like things the way they were am willing to pay for services that were once free.

I have no ads . I think we pay &12 for no ads. It’s well worth it since it’s my number one source for shopping. The no shipping fee makes this VERY worthwhile

At this point after years pleading with this person that makes plenty of purchases, to add Prime, their bean counters have obviously given up trying lure in with carrots, the hard core not interested. So instead are looking to slowly squeeze more out of the many that took their bait. Well as long as they don't notice how that game is being played.

Katlupe, I'm paying to be ad free with all my other services because I hate ads too, but if I had to pay the cost for a Prime membership, plus the extra $2.99 I wouldn't because there's not much on there that I care to watch. Also, I really don't use any of their other "benefits". Even before I got the free Prime subscription, I was getting free shipping simply by bunching my purchases so I spent the minimum to qualify for it.

I am just the opposite. I have had a Prime membership since they first started it. I use all their benefits and watch either Prime videos or YouTube videos in the evenings on my television. I also get a discount from Prime so it is a fair price. $7.55 a month and now adding the $2.99 to that.

Yes..that's a great discount Katlupe! I believe it's almost half of the current subscription price. Really, it comes out to be cheaper than Hulu per month, even with the $2.99 added (if one were paying the current rate).
