His was one of the few concerts I have ever been to.He played at a resort in the small county where we lived-a very small venue but somehow was always able to draw big names.

We had very close-up seats that night-about four rows back-and Willie Nelson showed up too. So glad I got to see him....

I didn't even know he had cancer. Sad news.
he was diagnosed at the end of 2021... and inside 18 months ... he'd lost half his bodyweight... just 62 years old....I think stomach cancer has to be one of the faster killers , because you can't eat, you can't drink..not in the normal way...

Didn't know him or his music..but a shame.
As always..choices in life..may have consequences.
I'm 'thinking/guessing'...too much 'chawing'..
you can chew&spit...but....

Toby Keith and Tim McGraw were 2 of my favorite country singers. When I heard Toby had stomach cancer, I thought such a shame. No one is exempt from this disease. I thought that we would have made further advances on it than we have.

I liked him a lot, thought he was handsome, too. I can't recall the name of the song that introduced him to me but it was very popular. It's a shame he got cancer. I imagine stomach cancer is one of the worst but all cancer can get extremely painful 😣.

RIP Toby! Thanks for all your entertainment 😀

RIP Toby

That was my very first thought as well, I used to chew myself, the thought of stomach cancer is never far from my mind.
As well as smoking and alcohol, Salted and smoked foods are one of the most reasons for stomach cancer. And that's why stomach cancer is still very prevalent in Asia, where they actually do screening for stomach cancer much like we do screening for breast cancer,

In reading his bio...
Oklahoma... farmboy..
then worked (young) on oil rigs..
I would imagine...
'learn 'em young'..as the 'good-ole-boys' would.

RIP Toby

When I was in high school during my last few years, I worked on a farm. One of the other hands offered me a his Mail Pouch and not to want to look like a sissy, I took a little and started chewing. Boy, did I get sick, but that didn’t stop me from going out and buying a pouch.

My dad smelled it on me and asked me if I was chewing. I told him I was and that’s when I was given my second best “talking to.” The first best talking to was my “sex talk.”
