I have only slightly large feet. Nevertheless I'd like them smaller. Why? Some years ago there was an evening class for citizens how to wear high heels properly. I couldn't participate since I didn't get the shoes in my size. Now you may ask, why should a man try to wear high heels? Well, I just wanted to find out, if walking in high heels is so cumbersome as some of the ladies (fortunately not all of them) are claiming.

This is the mens Conversion chart... the average mens' shoes size in the Uk is a 9.. ( 43 European)...

I am 6' 6" and after spending my life on my feet, I went from size 12 to 14. This surprised my brother as his never changed. He spent his life trucking and as a heavy machine operator. I told him to look at his backside. He is 2" taller than me and 140 pounds heavier.

I know what oiseau means. But is it meant literally for woman or in the sense as in a quote by Lawrence Durrell: "And all of this only for something that the Levantine calls 'le croissant' in his ornate language". (The quote is from memory, not the exact words).

I know what it means (bird), I have relatives in France. But the literal meaning does not make much sense. Thus my question. Durrell meant with 'le croissant' the term 'pu..y". This would make much more sense for the expression.
