I have never succeeded in loading a photo here.
I just tried and I believe that the parsing response failed.

I've always been able to upload jpg photos. Png photos are easily converted to jpg's.
The LunaPic website <-- helps to convert photos to different formats, and also change their size.

They are all jpg photos, but will only stop different percentages of the upload and informs me an error in uploading occurred. When I retried, at least 3 times, I just gave up. This is the 3 time over the course of a year this has happened to me.

Maybe they are to large to upload? Try reducing the picture first? Good Luck!

Every so often, I have trouble getting a gif to upload here; usually if I wait a few minutes and try again, it then works.

Me too. Most photos I use are my own but sometimes I have a problem uploading a photo I took off line. Usually if I crop it in size just slightly, it will upload. I hope that’s helpful to some.

I have often had jpeg. jpg files that would not download and converted them again without the metadata content.
Right clicking on the file gives you that option.

I can't post pictures here and they ARE jpg. I can only occasionally post a meme. I can always post YouTube videos, for some reason.

I have had that issue several times and I think it is because my wifi speed varies. If I am over my high speed limit it slows down. I have the problem with my own photos and gifs. Regular memes usually load ok.
