Murphy's Oil Soap Dust Cloths

I was disappointed in their durability. I dusted two dining room chairs and the cloth was in shreds.

I order them from Amazon. IIRC, you don't like to shop online but maybe a store near you might carry them? I like them a lot and they're re-usable, can even wash and re-use.

The instructions on the package are: "Use a fresh disposable wipe on desired surface. As wipe becomes soiled, refold. Let surface air dry."

Now I don't know what they mean by "air dry". The cloths were dry to begin with. I just wonder if they have a shelf life.

How old were your wipes? They're described as:

"Murphy Oil Soap Soft Wipes, Wet, Disposable, Large Size"​

So yeah, sounds as if yours may have dried out, and that's most likely what Murphy's will tell you.

How old were your wipes?

Probably over 5 years. I was wondering if I could rehydrate them.

I just use microfiber cloths the size of a large washcloth I brought in a pack of 20 from Amazon. Washable and I can spray on diluted white vinegar or a product like Endust as needed.

I used the orange ones in the car. Since those can get sooty or greasy from door sills I soak and wash them in a bucket.

I did hear back on the dust cloths - they have a shelf life of 1 year. Mine are well over that.
